For Clyde fans - next week's game v QP

Recommended Posts

There's a short informal meeting planned among fans in the "choir section" at next week's game addressing concerns about some aspects of the Club's future plans. It's not arranged by the Club or limited to CIC members, but will provide information and suggest options aimed at a united fanbase which should be of interest

For those who've not been attending matches as regularly as before, and some will be there next week, this may be the game to choose. Unlikely to take more than 5 - 10 minutes in that section of the ground at half time

If you can't make the game (or can't face it given recent results!), those in attendance can pass on the details to you afterwards

Vote of no confidence in this current board is needed.

Time for change.

Ps. How ironic is it that a funeral director has pumped some money into Clyde youth system this week?

They may be in the know somehow....because if Clyde keep going down the same route we will be dead soon.

Any Clyde fan that is sick of the current garbage - on & off the park should attend next week.

Mr Alexander.......Your time is up!!

I wouldnt phrase the buying of some kids jackets as "pumping some money into the club" !!

Frankly if it is only going to take 5-10 mins then it's not worth £12 and 4 hours out my life. I will wait for the output I think.

,,,,this thoroughly pointless circle-w**k involving the same folk who want Alexander to be ousted and yet choose to do nothing about it (besides complain from behind their keyboards on forums and social media).

Well it takes one to know one....." complain from behind their keyboards on forums and social media"

You still got the fastest hands in the west?

You reckon you could squeeze of a little shot from up in the stands straight into our dugout through wee barrys jet black hair?

Nothing like a warning shot from the wacko kid to get him to pull the finger oot

I'm sorry but if things need to be changed ( and they do) the mechanism for bringing these changes about has to come from within the CIC membership and done correctly. If people care strongly enough about our Club and they want their voices heard, then pay the piffling membership fee and do it officially.

I want things to happen as much as the next man but I won''t be attending this.

We need dissenter strength in numbers from within the membership not random meetings.

The point in the other match thread i believe, sadly, to be correct. The heart has been torn, irrepairably in many cases, and whats left of the shell, would only be embarrassing themselves giving any sort of publicised f**k about how things are transpiring. The last time things were this desperate (home game v Stenny in 2009?) a protest was launched, fans walked out on the hour and......nothing. The CIC has gained around 30 new members in the last fortnight, i hope as Livi puts it those will be supporters joining against their better judgement in order to get themselves heard. Theres absolutely no chance that a ten minute chat about what needs to be done will be it.....the quality on the park is crap, so a win loss or draw there won't make anyones weekend any better or worse. Real action and sacrifice has to be made to make the changes necessary to oust not just the Chairman who 'hopes your team do well' but the rest of his disciples, who really are a bunch of dim, witless carpet-baggers enjoying their status. Its frankly terrifying that some of these people are business owners and employers.....lets face facts...it cannot get worse. Crap results are one thing....inaction and self preservation are another entirely.

Is anyone going to be putting forward their name to be the new chairman or will it just be yet more hot air and whining about how he his killing the club yet these people are doing nothing, then these same people will appear at this game then won't been seen again until a big game happens.

Things can definitely get worse, the trap door to the lowland league is open!

That's my concern.

What if those who want the Chairman out actually succeed?

Do we have any idea who would take over?

Crucial point this. People have to have the right and means to criticise, and frankly this past 5 years or so has given plenty ammunition.

However, the club will take the stance that by offering ownership to all fans it as gone further than most to provide the platform for dialogue. If fans choose not to take ownership then they diminish their chances of being heard.

I see very little chance of anyone in an official capacity taking much notice of anything coming from the choir section. This is especially true after the Broadwood 10 incident and the walkout a few seasons back.

Further problems to overcome are apathy & the biggest of all - what is Plan B?

Who would step into the breach & what plans would they have? What skills do they bring?

I suspect no plan and few skills and even fewer volunteers. The club know this and so it is doomed to failure.

Still - that is no reason not to talk....
