The Shire Voice Of Reason
More than convincing performance from the Shire and a thoroughly deserved win. At last, our defence seems settled, and what a difference having two up front. Glad Max Wright got a goal, as for me he is the main change in the team. Scorge
No doubt Shields will tell us not to panic and that the playoffs are within touching distance We are miles off the pace, frankly. Today was almost a carbon copy of the 4 nil tanking off Peterhead last year that finally did for Garden. Struggling to find anything positive to take out of it, perhaps with the exception of McIntosh and Harkins when he came on. Craig Bell's 'performance' was a whole new category of horror. Rotten. MOFOREVER
Firstly well played Shire, you thoroughly deserved the win. After a much better display at Annan last week the Mo were once again in tatters. Shire won every battle all over the park and if they keep up that tempo they will be out of trouble in no time. It's got to be back to basics for the Mo with more gutsy performances unlike today which was more of a roll over pussy display. Still a tight league however and a couple of good results can make a big differenec just as much as a couple of bad results can. Draw a line under it and move on. A Username With Mo In It
Last year we clearly had problems at the back. So to fix it we sign an on loan centre half who is never seen again after getting red-carded against the Smokies & an unknown guy from the juniors. Now things are so bad we are forced to play our only decent forward at the back and now we have the worst defence in the league and are toothless up front. What an absolute shambles and I can only see it getting worse

mon the mo
Dreadful stuff today. Craig Bell rocked one of the most horrendous displays I have ever seen from a Montrose player. A disgrace. Shire were better all over the park, first to every ball and barely broke a sweat at the back. I'm very worried about what I saw today, completely devoid of effort, confidence, organisation and teamwork: all human stuff.
mo83
shields comes across as a decent guy, just think we need an experinced manager on board.complete shambles at lp that will only get worse in my eyes.
1320Lichtie
Shields will no sound be telling the papers on Monday that shire got 4 lucky breakaways and that the Mo were the better team
Judge
Shields doesn't know what his best team is and makes too many changes every week. Defensively we are very poor and every game a struggle when losing so many goals. Things have to change and fast as we are only heading in one direction and that's down. kirrielichtie
C'mon Shields/Montrose get a f****ng move on, sort yourselves out or you will end up out of this league and i for one don't want that.

mo83
montrose had a chance when garden left to bring someone in with new ideas, yet what did we do took the easy option for about the third time runnin and the assitant manager gets the job.To be quite honest out the current flock of shit we have id only have maybe 7-8 players and the rest would get punted too many not fit to wear the shirt. owteno
I thought your keeper was very good. There were two saves he pulled off in the second half that were different class..
