Just now, if he was fit, and in form playing for his club, I would certainly take Caldwell as the last CB - for his experience as well as his ability. Who else can reasonably be rated more deserving of the last bench space? Greer (older and green to international football)? Reynolds (uncapped)? Danny Wilson?

That's a lot of ifs.

Yes, Greer. Or Reynolds. Or Wilson. I'd take any over Caldwell, who is finished.

Excellent showing from Naismith today. Also, bannan started pardew's first game for palace... Though he was subbed at half time.

He was injured apparently. Was motm in the fa cup last week as well although against dross. Mcarthur looked good yesterday as well
