1320Lichtie
NO. This whole Tartan Army tag some people on here use is really starting to frustrate me, it's not some exclusive club full of Hamishes husbands and glengarry feathers it's purely a term to describe anyone who supports Scotland no matter how hardcore or not you are in your support. BerwickMad
The tartan army arrange themselves in to clans, wear kilts, have clan meetings and call themselves foot soldiers. Normal Scotland fans don't.
SpoonTon
The tartan army arrange themselves in to clans, wear kilts, have clan meetings and call themselves foot soldiers. Normal Scotland fans don't. Then the tartan army represents a tiny minority of Scotland fans (and also a small minority of those who would identify with being in the tartan army). Or you could accept that the extreme minority don't represent the whole.
Bonksy+HisChristianParade
Those folk that identify themselves as tartan army 'foot soldiers' are usually the folk that sport Glengarrys and don't even have a club team, so days out with their fellow foot soldiers are the only football they attend. They also criticise you for not wearing a kilt to the game.

HoBNob
Maybe it's just me but I've never seen someone criticised at the game for not wearing a kilt etc.
invergowrie arab
I wore jeans on Friday night and a green jacket. I got a power of abuse from a load of tartan army types on the train for not wearing a kilt or Scotland colours. Oh no wait none of that happened nobody gave a f**k. Bonksy+HisChristianParade
^^^Been touched by a footsoldier I wouldn't be surprised to learn that foot soldiers committed sexual assault on a semi regular basis. I haven't been affected personally though. *thank god* I wore jeans on Friday night and a green jacket. I got a power of abuse from a load of tartan army types on the train for not wearing a kilt or Scotland colours. Oh no wait none of that happened nobody gave a f**k. It's a mate of mine that was moaning at us on Friday night. I wouldn't say he was an official foot soldier but given he has the foot soldier mentality, I can only assume that other foot soldiers are quietly judging you in their booze-addled minds.
