This week's doesn't appear to have been done, so:-

Saturday 15th November 2014

The South Challenge Cup, Second Round

Spartans v Peebles Rovers (EOSFL) 3pm

Lothian Thistle HV (EOSFL) v Edinburgh City 3pm

Vale of Leithen v Eyemouth United (EOSFL) 1:30pm

Dalbeattie Star v Threave Rovers 1:30pm

Gretna 2008 v Dumfries YMCA (SOSFL) 3pm

East Kilbride v Heston Rovers (SOSFL) 3pm

Selkirk v Stirling Uni, Ormiston v Whitehill Welfare, & Broomhill v Abbey Vale are all postponed

Scottish Sun Lowland League

Edinburgh University v Gala Fairydean Rovers 3pm

After my recent run of luck, even I can't screw the coupon this time.

Spartans,

Edinburgh City

Gretna

East Kilbride

all for the win.

Apologies in advance to the above for their forthcoming cup shock exits

Please see below, under "Predictions midweek -15/11/14"

This is for Cicero's "Odds" game where you simply pick win/draw rather than try to predict the full scoreline. I've corrected the header.

(Come to think of it, where is he/she lately?)

Anyway, for those interested, this week's results:

Spartans 4 vs 2 Peebles Rovers (EOSFL)

Lothian Thistle HV (EOSFL) 0 v 1 Edinburgh City

Vale of Leithen 5 v 1 Eyemouth United (EOSFL)

Dalbeattie Star 4 v 4 Threave Rovers (AET - Star win 4-2 on penalties)

Gretna 11 v 0 Dumfries YMCA (SOSFL)

East Kilbride 5 v 0 Heston Rovers (SOSFL)

Selkirk v Stirling Uni, Ormiston v Whitehill Welfare, & Broomhill v Abbey Vale were all postponed

Edinburgh University 2 v 3 Gala Fairydean Rovers

The Lilywhites almost came unstuck against the LTHV combo and Dalbeattie almost banana skinned against Threave but otherwise a straightforward enough week.

Spartans needed extra time to see off Peebles as well.

Aye the Spartans were the bookies pals because in the regulation 90 minute result it was

2-2. So all the Spartans win bets are off,

Strange game, Peebles were so up for this game that had it been ground hop day the neutrals would have thought that Peebs were the LL champions. Mind you in the 1st 1/4 they did have the ref as 12th man & fortunately he choose to wear the same kit as Peebs,

A dodgy pen & a WC 1966 goal with the Peebs no 12 playing Russian Lino. He must have got 3 wages for that game. In all fairness in the latter stages of the 3 & 4th quarters he appeared to forget what side he was on & as cramp befell a few of his Peebs team mates his eyesight seemed to have taken on Spartans coloured spectacles proportions.

I think we are still suffering from post Clyde Cup win fatigue because we've certainly made hard work of our last 2 wins since that heroic performance. I hope Greenock Morton sent their scouts to ours to watch that cos they'll not recognize us when they come to ours in a couple of weeks.

Actually Newky lad, I did & I also saw the Peebles 2nd goal that was never over the line in a million years, which I still stick by, ok the ref called the pen correctly. I'm putting the goals package together just now, I also now want to punch myself in the face because I've stupidly deleted the wrong folder & have for some inexplicable reason, emptied the trash can too, so I've lost it forever, which means I'm gonna have to start all over again uploading the fucking footage from the cam-arrrgh-a.
