tamthebam Posted November 17, 2014 Share Posted November 17, 2014 A lot of the refs are the local plodders from the Juniors/Lowland League on a Saturday. Some refs are better than others. Some of the female officials have/are now doing local Junior games, either in the middle or as assistants at Superleague Games. Some of the females have even made it into the SFL- Kylie McMullan ran the line at the Livingston game on Saturday and Morag Pirie has been around for ages. I suppose you could place the Leagues on a par with Amateur football and if the games are getting refereed by Grade 3 and occasionally Grade 2 officials then they're doing better than the Amateurs...
