And he seems to be fit now but I think we're better with a solid- continued presence between the sticks. I'd want Gordon to have a good season under his belt first until we're sure he's over his injury problems. Agreed, Marshall is far more confident and rounded than he was at 18 (unsurprisingly), but McGregor is a shade better and for me gordon is a leap ahead of both. Well there wasn't really any movement with keepers among the top EPL clubs in the summer, and Cardiff would have been charging top dollar for him. Had Lloris left Spurs, as was rumoured, Marshall was supposedly their first choice to replace him. Ludo*1 Posted October 31, 2014 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Marshall had a great season but as I got slated for last season, he's not quite the standard of a top, top team. Neither is McGregor. Gordon, however, was/is but I doubt he'll ever make the true top level because he's hit the 30 mark and still has big questions over his fitness/injury proneness. But just about any team in the epl could have afforded Marshall, yet not one even bid for him. Although to be fair I'm not really bothered who starts - they're all very good goalkeepers. In 40 caps I can't really remember Gordon putting a foot wrong for us and I'm sure he'd do a great job if given the nod - but Marshall impressed last season and has performed well so far in this qualifying campaign.
