Aberdeen 0-1 Celtic (0-0, 0-1) / Dundee Utd 1-3 Rangers (1-1, 0-2) 1990-91... Celtic 2-0 Dundee Utd / Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen (both at Hampden) It should be noted that the format of the 1983-84 League Cup made such an arrangement likely. It had a unique format that season of 2-legged knockout rounds, then 4 groups of 4 playing home-n-away with the Old Firm & New Firm clubs placed as top seeds in each group - the 4 group winners comprising the Semi-Finalists.
