Morton Hall of Fame

Recommended Posts

Morton are establishing a hall of fame and there is a dinner in Greenock Town Hall on 15 November. There will be some automatic inductees from generations past but also three from ten being selected by public vote from the sixties forward. The ten are

Allan McGraw

Joe Caven

Erik Sorensen

Joe Harper

Andy Ritchie

Davie Hayes

Derek McInnes

Rowan Alexander

Derek Collins

Peter Weatherson

Would any football fans out there care to mention who their picks would be?

I think you're getting mixed up with Tommy Lawton m8

They both played for Morton, although obviously not in normal circumstances. Would be like Rooney playing for them now.

My Dad told me that at the weekend, he was from Greenock so don't doubt him.

War time guests?

Gordon Smith played one or two games there towards the end of his career too.

Wee Eck Williams.

Actually met him in a bookies in Prestwick the day I got back from the Scotland Germany match, he had just stuck £100 on a dog, got £500 back, so said that's a good win for you. His reply was that he was down £1000 haha.
