Mr Romanov
f**k is that all about?! Doesn't sit right with me, it is clearly very personal and decided on before the games. Neville was tearing him apart for a misplaced pass in the first minute ffs. Very strange.
JamboMikey
Having a personality and being a bit of a character seems to be unacceptable for English football people but battering DJs and dolling out racist abuse seems to be okay as long as you're not a foreigner. Seems that way. The venom in their voices and the sneering when talking about him is ridiculous and uncalled for.
Shuggie_Murray7
Fair enough, he's been pish so far this season, but what exactly is the big problem with the shirt swap? Also, 3-0 down to Real at half time and you sub him off? Was there really any need to do that? All I can see that doing is getting the supporters on his back. Well, they probably NEEDED it, but Rodgers was a bit more conservative with his language use. Said this in another thread. He also said that Sakho was dealt with last season for the same thing. Come this time next season, we'll remember Balotelli's shirt swap. And that side of the treatment he has gotten has been shocking.

dundeefc1783
I can see why it would annoy fans to see a player swapping shirts at half time when 3-0 down. Kinda stinks of a don't give a f**k attitude. If it was my team I would be annoyed at said player. Although did Balotelli ask Pepe or did Pepe ask him and he was just being polite. For me any shirt swapping should be saved for after the game

ShawfieldAggro
This narrative is pre-ordained and Sky can basically talk about something or someone enough until it becomes the general consensus....among the dicktards who listen to it. Suarez provided them with the 'genius/psychopath' villain they could praise and crucify as they saw fit...never once anything been made of Gerrard's countless over the ball lunges. Potentially career ending, i may add. They are doing their best to assist Newcastle in punting Pardew anaw....any photos of him are accompanied with imagery and peripheral messages...he was even snapped, conveniently, standing in front of the 'fifa15' part of a rolling board advert saying 'out now'. Having 50,000 Geordies happy to pay up to have their voice heard is exactly what Sky are all about.
Tom McB
Balotelli was a brave ( code for stupid) move by Rodgers. His workrate in games to date has been piss poor, had he moments of brilliance to make up for this much could be forgiven, but there's no brilliance. Filling his bank balance through a combination of indolence and arrogance. Why sky btw, most sports media are of the same mind re Balotelli. DigOutYourSoul
Michael Owen seems to be speaking some sense on the situation. There does seem to be a media propaganda against him for some reason or another. Swapping shirts at half time doesn't help as to the fans it just screams 'I don't care'. as pointed out already it looks like some of the players patience is running out and that's far more and issue than a media revolt for Mario. Complete and utter bull shit and yet another part of the English Media narrative that is a lie. Every game I've seen him play for Liverpool he's closed down centre halves, tracked back to his own half to tackle full backs, and continually attempted to make runs in behind defences for Gerrard to massively over hit passes out of play or straight to the 'keeper. tintax
Don't understand the hatred towards him. The real problem for Liverpool at the moment is the defence not the attack, it was the same last season but the partnership of Suarez and Sturridge bailed them out throughout the whole season. I think back to the abuse Spurs got for supposedly wasting the Bale money, what have Liverpool done with the money they got from Suarez? The defence looks worse but that doesn't seem to matter
