athletic 1
At last, First Saturday game at Galabank in 6 bloody weeks! Will we ever perform for 90 mins instead of 45? Will we ever take a few of the chances that we create a number of every game?

The Shire Voice Of Reason
Just a thought: I have nothing against our keeper, but I don't agree with him being captain. For me, the captain needs to be an outfield player, one who can organise and support the team right across the pitch, not just in the box, and a keeper can never do that. matty0310
the hardest man in the team should be the captain imo...if hes the keeper then thats the way it is Barnard definetley is that. He is our most vocal player, and that's how a captain should be. He shouldn't be looked over just because he is a keeper. He is almost fearless, but I guess that comes naturally being a Prison gaurd and an ex-Millwall player.

The Shire Voice Of Reason
I accept that he is vocal in his own box, but basically anything that happens beyond 30 yards he has no influence on.
