Stirling v Airdrie

Recommended Posts

Apparently we are in an injury crisis, with Hammil, Wilson, Kirwan, Fitzpatrick, and Big Ben all out injured. Don't see anything there we can't live without though, and hoping Stirling are still in disarray come Saturday. Going for a 2-0 victory - Lister and Parker.

In other news, there are two buses leaving for another Aces away day, although there is space for anyone who fancies it. Aces will have free transport and admission to the game, and free lunch, face painting and Soft Play at the Springkerse view. Kids who arent members can come on the day for £5, or join up on the day. Adults will be a minimum donation of £5 for the bus.

There will be an adults bus, and a kids bus. Please pm if interested. Buses leave at 12.15 from the stadium.

Its going to be an interesting game on Saturday at Forthbank. Can the managerless Albion pull off a coup and get their 1st home win of the season.

Can the caretakers Darren Smith and Ross Forysth do what Greg McDonald failed to do and win at home this season, anything is possible but I personally think a draw is possible. The ball is in the players court now and I hope they will respond and give 100 %. We need to get something from this game.

I will urge all Albion fans to get along this Saturday and give the team their backing. the more vocal we get it lets the players know we care about the club and despite the poor start to League 1. we can still survive if we can keep the faith.

Com`on the Binos.

Great stuff from the trust again, unfortunately my two nephews aren't available otherwise I'd have been there.

I'm very much hoping we can come away from Forthbank with three points against an ailing Stirling team. We have seen a small upturn in our form over the past few weeks, so I'm predicting a 2-1 victory, seeing as we can't keep a clean sheet unless we're playing Brechin. Watt and Gray the scorers.

Its an open invite mate. We had enough for two and a half buses, so plenty space for anyone who fancies it. Plenty guys just taking advantage of the bus.

They know we care, it's the players who don't care

I would say the players do care, think some of them found themselves in a tricky situation with McDonald as he was a good friend and their boss so kind of made it difficult for them to say he wasn't getting it right. I would say Reidford does care about the result and that he had a rubbish day, yes, fans got on his back and he reacted, but think the reaction was down to him actually giving a f**k what happens. Also young Sandy seems to care about it when he comes on as he is always trying.

As for this weeks game, I think we will see a change in the mentality of the players think they will be more up for it as no doubt they will want to prove themselves to the potential manager as I suspect a few of the candidates will be at the game. So think we can pull off a draw, I fully expect to see both Darren Smith and Ross Forsyth leading the battle from the front so to speak, they better not stick to the dug out.

Airdrie fans must be very optimistic going into this one. A chance to boost your goal difference. Give your goalie the day off.

We're missing several players and fully expect the Stirling players to bounce back after the sacking of their manager.

Nothing is ever so straight forward as a routine win for Airdrie.

The point is fair. Fulton's strike was a belter. Stirling had the better of the first half but I thought Airdrie had much more fluency in the second, and if any team were going to take the three points it would have been the Diamonds.

Individually, I though McNeil was shaky, Gasparotto & Richards-Everton were pretty poor, full backs were positive, Fraser and Fitzpatrick best players in Diamonds, the wingers were anonymous, Lister was bossed by the baldy centre half and Parker ran himself into the ground.
