LongTimeLurker
We wish for an away day to somewhere new and hopefully welcoming Hopefully as welcoming for you as Irvine was, if the BUs get the job done against Elgin. SPFL clubs seem to find ways to scrape through in these games, maybe because the more consistently high calibre of opposition gives a wee bit more street smarts, so taking nothing for granted (or even sneddoned for that matter). If we played the way we did against Celtic over they 2 games the whole season we would've been flying. All good and well the juniors doing well in one off cup games but I'd like to see just how well they'd do over the course of a season.
athletic 1
Come on Bo'ness! For the simple fact of Elgin throwing away a massive lead and making me miss our league fixture with it now being Tuesday night.

Jambo'ness
An amazing game! The ref was certainly Elgin's top ferformer, awarding them two penalties and disallowing a goal for us. He also let Andrews away with murder. Clearly elbows are permitted for preachers. Enough ranting. It was a great team effort to keep going and never let Elgin take the upper hand. Gribben & Walker tore their defence up time after time. One note. That free bus so generously put on attracted 32 passengers. Pitiful.

Gribben & Walker tore their defence up time after time. One note. That free bus so generously put on attracted 32 passengers. Pitiful. Away and have a word with yourself. The penalties were stonewallers and the offside was unnecessary as Gribben was looking right along the line. And the worst attempt at a challenge in what was anything but a dirty game came from the Bo'ness boy in the middle of the pitch. Bo'ness were streets ahead of Elgin who defended like a pub team. If anyone wants to maintain a pretence that the bottom end of the SPFL is a step up from top end non league they are kidding themselves. Elgin wouldn't finish top 5 in the East Super League - they couldn't keep hens out a hutch. Nicky Walker cantered all over them. Good win for Bo'ness but if they'd won by 5 it wouldn't have been undeserved.
