DAFC
This isn't based on one game or even this season. It's based on his complete inability, despite having the resources, to assemble an effective team and win the important games. Counter arguement one. He stood by us during administration. Well so what, that time is past now. If he was so good another team would have poached him away. Let's look at the facts of what happened. He go us relegated twice and from being well ahead against Partick and Airdrie we somehow blew it spectacularly. We also lost the playoffs twice against teams with even younger inexperienced players than us and very much less resources. You could point to teams like Airdrie and see how well Gary Bollan did with junior players etc. Also Partick Thistle and Hamilton. All young players, very much different results. These teams also went through hard times financially. Counter argument two. We are near the top of the league. Yes but if you only take the games that matter we've probably lost or drawn them all since SPL relegation. Hammered 5-1 by Thistle, 4-2 by Morton. Losing to Forfar in the first playoff game Pumped by Alloa. Beaten 4-0 by Forfar, beaten by Straraer in the first playoff game. Humiliated by Cowdenbeath in the final. This season, lost to Morton, lost to Forfar and scraped a draw. When it comes to the big games, unless we win the league, we are going to make the same basic errors and tactical mistakes that keep costing us. Few examples. Callum Morris dropped for Cowdenbeath games. Spence brought in for Stranraer game. Byrne dropped for Forfar game. Millen playing every week, what has happened to Whittle? No Ryan Thomson despite doing well every time he plays. Blind loyalty to Geggan and Falkingham. Playing Martin, who makes basic errors in every game while allowing Page to go out on loan. Not saying Page is great but is Martin really any better? Signing Forbes on a two year contract when we could have had Husband. They are the same player, Husband is better. Being left in the playoffs with no strikers and defenders two years in a row? Why? So when it comes to the crunch why will we be any different this season? The only real positive has been Gregor Buchanan, this man is the captain of our club. Geggan is hiding. I got a good look at them both at Morton from the side stand. Let's get JJ out now and give someone else a chance to work with the biggest budget in the league by miles. No point waiting until after Christmas or after the window. Walter
For what length of time is he under contract? How much will it cost you to dump him? I'd imagine a guy like Jeffries won't be working for washers.

DAFC.
As long as we're still challenging and nothing totally calamitous happens, the board will probably not give him the bullet.

Parscelona
It doesn't help matters when he comes out with nonsense like yesterday, when he said that both teams had chances to win the game, when we didn't have a shot on target until the missed penalty, while Scully pulled off about four outstanding saves and Forfar hit the post. Comments like that are just taking the piss out of the intelligence of the fans who were at the game.
DAFC
As long as we're still challenging and nothing totally calamitous happens, the board will probably not give him the bullet. And herein lies the problem. We will do it next year, unlucky the young boys are inexperienced blah blah blah.

Pars fan
It's not happy clapping. I'm as frustrated as anyone after yesterday, it's not the time to panic yet though. I very much doubt there is anyone else who would be doing a better job than jefferies at the moment. The players are clearly happy to play under jefferies and have a lot of respect for him. Making changes, especially at the moment, would be a backward step.

DAFC
Gary Bollan, Jimmy Nicol, Dick Campbell, Neil McCann potter and another? Ian Murray, Jimmy Calderwood, Derek Adams.
GordieBoy80
Completely agree with the opening post. Dick Campbell has proven he's a far better manager than Jefferies and we punted him when sitting 2nd in the First Division to throw money around for Calderwood. He was even outthought by Jim Duffy ffs. His constant tinkering with the team and formation is mind boggling. Give McCann and/or Potter the job now. Rob1885
Never been a Jefferies man, didn't think he was the right appointment at the time and has failed to win a single crucnh game in the 2 and a half years he's been here. Right enough we're a point off the top but the team are playing worse stuff than last season.
DA Baracus
I've not actually been to any games this season so my frustration is much less than others who have had to watch what many have said are pish performances. I'm not shouting for him to go just now but I wouldn't be in any way bothered if he did. I don't, and never will, consider him a club legend like a lot of others do. For me he's nowhere near to being so. Not even close. He deserves respect for staying with us through administration though. Can't agree that he can be blamed for the SPL relegation but he absolutely must take a big portion of responsibility fot the relegation from the Championship. The playoff failure last year is also something he must take a large share of responsibility for. It's unfair to say he's won NO big games, but his record in them is pretty terrible. We have a good squad I think and are definitely underachieving though. Not getting promotion wouldn't be a disaster but it would be a huge setback that would see some substantial cutbacks and could ensure our stay in this league is extended for at least a few more years. DA Baracus
Textbook cliche that always gets thrown around whenever a manager is under pressure by some supporters. Aye it's utter nonsense that is impossible to prove. It also inexplicably suggests that there are no decent managers around.
GordieBoy80
Calling Jefferies a Pars legend is cringeworthy imo especially when he's no better than Stephen Kenny tactically.
