Partick Thistle vs St Johnstone - Saturday 25 October @ Firhill

Recommended Posts

I've missed the last couple of games so I find my self in the strange position of looking forward to a game against The Masters of Meh, St Johnstone.

In general Saintees have struggled this season and seem to miss May after a great and historic season. Coupled with MacLean being injured the goals have largely dried up.

Thistle are having an up and down system but our home performances have been okay overall despite late losses to High Flying Academical and the Low lying Skunks of Paisley.

Anyway, I have a good feeling about this game. Partick Thistle 3 St. Johnstone 0.

How's Mcfadden been for the Saints?

Shite, a few nice touches here and there paper over the fact he offers nothing and is blowing out his arse after twenty minutes. He'll start this though, as we're in full panic mode and have it in our head he'll save us.

We'll probably go 4-4-2, leaving ourselves wide open as the midfield charge about like headless chickens without any protection, while the defence will yet again be changed as we desperately hunt for the answers despite the fact its age catching up with players instead of bad form. Up front Graham will charge about being forced to try and win a header every three seconds and having no support while McFadden walks around twenty yards away. We'll make the same three subs regardless of how everyones playing.

2-0 Partick

I have had it in my head that Brian Graham will score against us as he always scores against us but after looking it up I make it 3 in 14 appearances against us. I thought he'd have been ideal for us before he went on loan to St Johnstone as it'd give us a completely different option to Doolan.

Same team as yesterday with Frans in for Seaborne and hope that he's as good as I've decided he is without seeing him play.

Not sure I've looked forward to a game as little as this in a fair while. Was impressed by Thistle last season and expect them to beat us on Saturday but suspect both clubs will be in the bottom six come April. It's quite simple with us, we can't score more than once in a match (managed it once in 15 games) and can't keep clean sheets (3/15) on a regular basis so we aren't going to win matches.

We are right on course for the chairmans predicted budget though so he must be chuffed to bits.

Hes probably too busy getting hammered with his mates every board meeting boasting about the £2m in the bank to give much of a f**k whats going on outside his office. I'd be surprised if he didn't spent yesterday sleazing around the Muirton Suite with all his cronies staring at all the women and acting like a group of twelve year old laddies

Funny how Killie lost their talismanic striker but have improved greatly this season. How come Saintees have gone backwards after losing Stevie May? Is it the budget issue, injuries or something else?

I'd like to think we'll win this one. Despite being level on points St Johnstone seem pretty low in confidence and there for the taking. I believe this also our last home game for some time so would be ideal to finish the October league games on a high.

FFS saints fans love to be big, dramatic, pessimistic twats some of the time. Saying 2-0 lose is a good result, give me strength.

I think we'll draw 1-1, whilst we were poor at the back yesterday, Partick Thistle won't have a striker to bully us and we are creating chances, albeit not scoring them.

If you offered me a 1-0 defeat right now I'd bite your hand off.
