clyde_darren
Albion Rovers are undefeated in six and are in 2nd place vs clyde who have won their last two and are ninth. There are only 5 points between the two sides and now that barry seems to have got clyde back on track this match could make for a very exciting game. I am very much looking forward to this match and I believe we can get the win. My prediction 1-3.
Graeme P
Last 2 visits to Albion have ended in defeats and for the most part being outplayed in both games. Hopefully previous 2 wins have kickstared our season and we can put on a good performance. Delighted with a win but happy if we could walk away with a point. Albino Rover
Rovers are actually unbeaten in 1: we lost our last league game, and played very poorly, but that has been the only blip in the kind of home form you look for in championship material. I expect a return to the usual standard on Saturday. Clyde have finally found form, getting results against mixed opposition, especially away from home- they’ve still picked up more points in Airdrie than in Cumbernauld. We should be aiming to win this one, especially in order to get the season back on track after three weeks without a league match, but Barry's lot will give us a tough contest. The game could be dictated by how our manager plays, but with the experienced Donnelly/Chaplain combination around him I can see a winning performance: Chappy to make and convert a penalty, Clyde to equalise through a dodgy offside effort, and a last minute 25-yard Darren Young volley to win it for us. (I predict Young not because he’s a volley specialist but because he’s the only one guaranteed to be playing all 90 minutes.) By the way, how many managers in our league have played in Scottish Cup finals? I count our clubs’ very own Bazza and Dazza, as well as #CC, GusMac and Naysy. Not sure about Moore, Shields or Tully, and if Barry Wilson didn’t play for QoS in their recent SC final, he’s still a Cup hero as part of the world famous 3-1 Super Caley side. I don’t think Jim Chapman is quite old enough to have played in Dumbarton’s Cup-winning team of 1883.
Karpaty
If the EF mob are to be believed and we beat them without touching the ball then I'll take a point here. It is looking like we are cutting out the daft mistakes at the back and Alan Martin seems a good signing, so if McManus is on form up top I don't see why we can't win. Confidence should be as good as it has been all season so it should be a close one.
shawfield shed boy
Shit record at this Ground with one game sticking out when A Strachan was captain & a few fists from supporters and players occured at HT under S Millar... Since that game they gave us the run around for first 45 during our first game through there and always felt The Rovers were in a false league position last season on the back o that game.. Hopefully BF had done bit of homework on them and there tight/Uneven playing surface which might not suit some of our ball playing players.. Looking forward to it otherwise and with bit o luck we'l come away with at least a point ... Ps. Just had a flashback one time we played through there on same say as StPatricks Day,What a fuckin site of pissed stained ugly looking so called Females at 12 midday:blink:
cliftonphil
Looking forward to this one. Watched clyde at Methil last week. Pretty average and fortunate to grab all 3 points, that being said Rovers form dipped of late too. 2-2 draw this one. Should be decent crowd even though clyde's celebrity supporters generally hate coming to our place.
ShawfieldAggro
Maybe if it wasn't resembling a set from 28 Days Later we wouldn't have such a problem with it. I see your Sevco Cup Bigot Contributary fund has yet to be invested anywhere in that fucking scrapyard you call a home thus far!!! We might have our problems with Broadwood but at least visitors from all clubs are catered for.
Albino Rover
On the contrary, that fund has been used for numerous features that will be crucial the next time segregation is needed. Are you telling me a disabled car park/ball target zone, a lick of black paint and paying off James Ward's contract won't entice fans back to Cliftonhill? ShawfieldAggro
You're about the only one of your lot who apparently see what the rest of the world does. The rest busy toeing the club line at all costs. Now....Clyde fans, crowded together round a jobby couldn't agree what colour it is, and theres a lot of people fucked aff with how things are being done with us, but the pisstaking being done by the suits at ARFC is laughable. And not being funny, but what exactly is the ceiling you can accomodate??? And what sort of teams (the cheeks and Hertz & Hibz excluded) would require a shifting from CH??? If Motherwell got moved, then i'd guess Thistle, Airdrie, Falkirk, Dunfermline, Dundee clubs would also?? Thats half the fucking teams in Scotland. Shambles. Albino Rover
We've hosted Airdrie and Falkirk at CH in recent seasons. OF excluded we could probably play any opposition at CH if the board didn't prefer to sacrifice home advantage for £££s.

ShawfieldAggro
So.....what is capacity...and what is deemed enough to justify shifting the matches willy-nilly to suit yourselves???
Bold Rover
So the biannual lesson in stadium management from Clyde fans has arrived.

Albino Rover
So.....what is capacity...and what is deemed enough to justify shifting the matches willy-nilly to suit yourselves??? With segregation in place I think the capacity is around 1,000. Shifting matches seems to be as and when we fancy, and the Motherwell game can be a precedent for any club that wants to cash in on a game. I'd rather see teams use their home advantage as a chance to help them win the game than make money but John Devlin disagreed.
the_bully_wee
I, for one, certainly wouldn't complain about Cliftonhill if the Rovers sorted a) the pitch and b) the constant moving of cup ties. I'm sure if we were lucky enough to own our own stadium the pitch wouldn't resemble an amateur-level rugby park.
Bold Rover
So it's luck that Clyde need to own their own ground?
shawfield shed boy
You own a Dump We Rent a Dump You have a pub and a station within 10mins,On that basis you win that debate
ShawfieldAggro
No contest on that front. But i'd be happier not owning a thing if we could exploit our misfortune to the sound of a few thousand more clicking turnstiles with in turn the proceeds going to sort the fucking mess out. Aren't you embarrased that you couldn't properly 'host' two of the largest clubs in the area at your own midden??? Scoff all you want about our dilapidated cooncil hoose, we were initially paying the highest rent and maintenance costs in the country pound for pound when we got there, and subsequently are still paying ten years later for a 'finished product' we never recieved. We are totally on shit street, but wouldn't dream of ripping the piss out of everyone else so blatantly. In any case the club rather do that to its own fans. By the way....Did anyone ever fix that faulty kettle that got the Accies match around 1999 cancelled due to h&s???
