Alloa v Cowden

Recommended Posts

Now the internationals have finished we should discuss this.

A rejuvenated Cowden team from the disaster at CP has played some good football and picked up some results. Another new signing to bolster the midfield today won't do any harm.

I wouldn't say it's a must win but a defeat would be a serious set-back. Confident we can get a result. Alloa will fancy their chances after deserving a draw against Hearts at the weekend from what I hear but it's a different game when you have to look to win the match.

If Wasps1 wants to keep his pish away from this thread that would be classed as a win for both sets of fans I reckon.

I'm still annoyed we never got 3 points against Hearts, never mind 1. You're right though, a new approach to the game this Saturday could well backfire on the team, I'm obviously hoping Barry Smith and the players will approach this professionally and forget about the Hearts match.

Our first quarter of games had only four home matches (against Raith and the so-called big 3). Which of course means our second quarter features five home games against QOS, Cowden, Falkirk, Dumbarton and Livi where if we can play to the same level of performance as we have done at home this season so far, then I'm hopeful we'll pick up more than 7 points this quarter.

Regarding your last point, you've probably started the thread 4 days too early for that.

It's comforting that we have been pretty much garbage all season and Alloa have been quite impressive yet there's not much between the teams - points wise.

Another new signing gives us another option and the week off should see some players back fit I would hope. Both teams will be confident but Alloa will rightly start as favourites.

Can't see many goals at all. 1-0 to someone.

Never Good am In your thoughts . Home win by 2 clear. Jimmy to resign after the game

And the lowet traveling support all season

One man and his Dog

the lowest travelling support all season occurs approximately every 2nd week when alloa are away from home.

Pretty sure we can get something from this game with us having a squad of nearly 30 players to choose from after signing Marshall yesterday. Strength in numbers!

30 players?! You will soon have more players than Rangers :).

Alloa fans, how far is the football park from the station? Just had an accident and may not be able to drive.

Cheers.

Come off the train and head in to Asda car park, when you come to the end there will be stairs leading out to a bus stop. Cross the road and walk to your right. You should see the college from there walk towards it but don't cross the road instead when you get to there take a left and keep heading straight and you'll reach the ground as already stated about 10 minutes.

On to the game if the game earlier in the season is anything to go by this should be comfortable home win, although the OP has stated Cowdenbeath are playing better. I am still confident though as our home performances have been very good and if we take our chances I can see another 3-0.

Probably a dull 0-0 though :thumbsdown

Thanks for that.

Alloa won the last game at a canter, never even got out of first gear. We can't be that bad again.

An Alloa/Cowden game is never predictable though.

definitely not. I think the whole issue of the player being subbed set Cowden back a bit though and put the players off
