Queenserse
Can anyone confirm that Dalbeattie have played Dalbeattie Star P 11 W4 D6 L1 For25 Against18 GD+7 Pts18 and that Selkirk are Selkirk P10 W4 D2 L4 For28 Against21 GD+7 Pts14 as both I and the BBC believe rather than the Lowland League website tables. Simplistic
go with the BBC. Safest that way
surely not!
go with the BBC. Safest that wayYou're right- but a sad indictment of the lack of 'professionalism' in the set up of the lowland league that it's own website is not up to date. Highland league one has match reports and so much more info updated much more regularly- usually a report on matches within an hour. It's not acceptable IMO to say things like 'the juniors don't have fixtures in advance' or 'we play games midweek and the juniors don't'. if the lowland league wants to be really serious about it's standing and place in the Scottish game it should stop settling for being slightly better in organisation than the level below it and strive to be better than the levels above it (where possible) . HibeeJibee
I'm not experiencing this. Queenserse... did you refresh your browser when you went onto the LL site and the table appeared to be incorrect? I (presumably like yourself) keep tally of various leagues and it must have been correct on Sunday as I always go and check the P + Pts with my own spreadsheets as a double-check. Infact as there were no LL games last weekend it's probably been correct since a week past Sunday. When I went myself just now, both the frontpage: http://slfl.co.uk/ and the tables page: http://slfl.co.uk/tables/league/ seem to be correct, except the frontpage had the issue like you (as if Selkirk won) until I hit 'Refresh'. They are both identical with the BBC table too. Position Team P W D L F A GD Pts 1 Edinburgh City 10 8 2 0 25 6 19 26 2 Spartans 11 6 3 2 26 14 12 21 3 Whitehill Welfare 10 5 5 0 24 12 12 20 4 East Kilbride 9 6 1 2 23 9 14 19 5 Dalbeattie 11 4 6 1 25 18 7 18 6 Stirling University 11 5 2 4 16 19 -3 17 7 Gretna 2008 9 4 2 3 17 9 8 14 8 Selkirk 10 4 2 4 28 21 7 14 9 BSC Glasgow 11 4 2 5 20 28 -8 14 10 Vale of Leithen 11 4 1 6 16 27 -11 13 11 Gala Fairydean Rovers 10 3 2 5 19 26 -7 11 12 Edinburgh University 10 1 2 7 13 23 -10 5 13 Preston Athletic 11 0 2 9 12 32 -20 2 14 Threave Rovers 8 0 2 6 4 24 -20 2 Dalbeattie v Selkirk was one of most recent set of games so maybe it was the last result entered or something. Frontpage table has that 'as-things-stand' feature during games (previous thread on it). EDIT: There is one minor issue with the frontpage table, mentioned on the previous thread, which is clubs tied on both Pts & GD confuse it (i.e. Preston+Threave). Grim O'Grady
Hopefully the table will be right by end of January, by that I mean we will be in our rightful place. Grimbo

It only takes a (god forbid) an injury to 1 or 2 players or a sending off or an err on the ref's or managers behalf & in the words of Batman "pow", in all my 9 years no claim bonus of watching football I have never seen a season where at least 2 of the above if not all of them have happened. Good luck to e-City if they can win the marathon but I've a snickers (did you see what I did there) feeling that sprinting off is not the recommended way to win the LL race Grimbo

Grim O'Grady
Just remember the eos premier league before the LL 1st season Unfortunately Nooks, even with your help at reminding me, it's gone, not that 2 seasons ago really matter whatever it was you are referring too mate? Although my hazy memory is coming back, I think you are implying that a team that appear to have no chance & then wining the last month of games whilst all above dropped points, so what you mean is that it's Spartans League (again), good chap.
