The Albert entertained a Forth side looking to kick on from a 1-0 cup win the previous week.

The game kicked off with both sides fairly even.

Forth tried to exploit the Albert out wide, feeding Lennon at every opportunity. Lennon's pace was matched by Michael Neil.

The dead lock was broken when Michael Neil got to the byline crossed a fantastic ball into the box which the Kieron Chalmers met with a death finish from 18 yards.

Forth continued to press but it was the Albert again who worked the ball down the right hand side this time. Scott McGlaughlin crossed Alan Campbell's first touch was sublime he laid the ball into the path of Kieron Chalmers who again cushioned the ball past the Forth Keeper almost identical to his first.

The Albert had settled and the confidence was flowing. Again working the ball in the wide area a corner was forced. Cue the training ground set piece which was despatched by Alan Campbell for 3-0

There were further chances for the Albert which were missed by Saaf and Kieron for his Hatrick.

Forth continued to work the ball to Lennon who beat two Albert players and forced a save from the keeper Craig smith.

On the stroke of half time forth pressed hard down the right with Gilky and Lennon working together. A nice deliver saw the ball fall to Harty as he was about to pull the trigger Frazer Stobie knocked the ball and sent it long which Alan Campbell latched onto with Davie Grant exposed Saaf made a great run which opened up he play for Alan Campbell to slot past the goal keeper in off the post

HT 4-0

The second half started with Forth pressing hard some sloppy play by the Albert defence saw Forth gain a corner kick. The corner was crossed to the back post where Jordan Smith guided it to the opposite corner for everyone in the box to watch as it fell past the post.

Again some short play from the Albert allowed forth into the box where Harty struck the post luckily for the Albert it hit the outside of the post for a goal kick.

The Albert reacted well when Steve Clarke to the game by the scruff of the neck driving his team mates forward. He robbed Dick in his own half and drove by 3 Forth defenders to force a great save from the forth keeper.

Again the Albert pressed down the left the ball was crossed in where Saaf jumped to volley. The ball was sailing into the top corner when the Forth Keeper flew to clip round the post.

The Albert continued to press and Alan Campbell scored his Hatrick with a good strike from the angle past he goal keeper.

With 20 minutes to go the Albert brought James McGill on from a recent knee injury. A standing ovation for Saaf for a terrific performance. It didn't take McGill long to get back to scoring ways as he tapped in from 5 yards with his second touch.

Again the Albert made another change taking off Kieron Chalmer and replacing him with Scott Brennan. He instantly linked up with James Mcgill squaring for a tap in.

In the dying minutes forth had the ball in the net but the referee judged it to be offside

FT 7-0 a thoroughly deserved victory and great performance from the Albert Boys

The Albert are still missing 4 players with long term injuries for next weeks game v VOL

Forth have a good side with plenty experience in both Harty's, smith mcgroarty and David Grant. I'm sure they will bounce back.
