Redcar
Banana skin city. A Berwick team failing miserably to live up to potential and expectations v the 2nd placed Highland league side. I'd expect a comfortable home win, but then again I always do. Would like to see Cameron try 3 at the back, with wing backs. So, Bald (or Andrews) Fairbairn Young Tulloch Gray Notman Currie Gold Maxwell Lavery Drago (or P Currie)
sammyreidloyal
Results against Wick,Culter and Deveronvale would suggest this could be a mare. Hopefully they surprise us all with a good spanking and get some confidence back.
berwick-the-unbeatable
Not confident at all. Formartine at 4.5 looks good to me

Redcar
Not sure i'd use Gray as a wing back Yeah - maybe Notman right side with Paul Currie or CC in the middle. Don't suppose he'll change formation anyway.
Redcar
Deserved and ultimately comfortable 2-0 win for Gers. The coachload of Formatine fans arrived bang on 3, absolutely arseholed. I guess they'd been in the black and gold ridding themselves of several Scottish tenners in exchange for a shedload of fizzy piss. Their team started really well and could have had one or two in the first 5 minutes. Hoskins was particularly shite, (but recovered to have a decent 2nd half) and it took 20 minutes for Berwick to settle. Paul Currie had a goal disallowed by the ref for offside. The linesmans flag went up after the whistle as seems to be normal in Scotland these days. But soon Berwick were 2 up with a free header from Gold and another header from Lavery who climbed above their keeper. The 2nd half was all Berwick really, and there could have been 3 or 4 more. Their keeper made several good saves. Best for Berwick were Young, Notman, Gold, Paul Currie and Gray. Formartine were decent at times but 5 or 6 yellows and 1 red (0 cards for us i think) tells a story that they were at the limit of their abilities. berwick-the-unbeatable
Yep, the Highland boys rocked up and looked like they enjoyed their big day out but that's it for another year - there's no chance they could beat a league side in the play-offs. I thought Formartine started far stronger than us but we kept our nerve and after 15-20 minutes, our vast superiority really showed. Credit to the players for handling the pressure they were under. The Formartine 'keeper is probably the worst I've seen since Marc Lunn, he was an absolute joke. Constantly making errors and trying too hard to make up for it by coming out for every single cross made, and ultimately punching about 8 of our players in the head. Clogger. Though the score was only 2-0 it probably should have been more but a win is a win. I was impressed again with Dargo's intelligent running. The amount of space he creates for others is enormous. He might be a veteran but he's a joy to watch at times. Didn't quite understand the criticism from some of the Ducket towards him. Fair enough he was caught offside a few times but at least he's gambling and trying to make those runs. Man of the match by far for me was Gray who made a fantastic return on his first start since injury. Constantly driving at players and solely responsible for getting about 5-6 of their cloggers booked. Credit to all the team though - thought they all played well in honesty. We'll probably go on to win the cup from here tbh
BerwickMad
Thought they'd be a lot stronger considering the games Culter gave us last year from a supposed weaker league. We didn't really get out of first gear, but didn't really need to. Very important win and hopefully we can start to see a bit more of a settled side with Grey, who was MOTM, back.
