"The club is currently the only fully amateur club in the Scottish Professional Football League"

then

"One hundred and forty one years separate the two clubs with Queens Park, the oldest club side in Scotland having been formed in 1867. Since then the Hampden Park outfit, for long a bastion of amateurism in the game, have steadily slipped downwards and abandoned the amateur creed in 1998"

Make yer mind up

"They have continued to struggle this season"

No we haven't

"Although a league apart, this seasons Lowland League winners could be playing Queens Park for a place in Division 2"

Well, that's the team talk done

Wouldn't read too much into 1 persons 'opinion'

QP siting comfy in 5th and 3pts off 2nd says otherwise.

Rest assure these thoughts aren't seconded by coaches and squad. And the players are fully aware of mammoth task at hand.

Wish you all a safe trip down and see you all in the wee bar.

Well done QP, Good luck in the next round. Only negative thing i have to say was the actions of your No 10 after the goal, no interest of celebrating with his teammates or fans only wanted to goad the home support by coming over to our support (stood outside the wee bar) & shout "Get it fucking up ya" & Fist pumping come on to us all, a few of the boys were shall we say inebriated & could have easily sparked a riot, very unprofessional for a league player & an Edinburgh City player was sent off for a lot less a few weeks back at Raydale

Was almost worth being absolute dung for 89 minutes of the game.

More than just a tad unkind on our defence and midfield who completely controlled the game bar one 10 minute spell where we competently resisted some spirited attacks. Never any likelihood of us losing the game, and if McPherson, Woods, Burns and to a slightly lesser extent McElroy are going to have stinkers, then best to have them in a game where the worst a clean sheet was ever going to get us was a replay.

Anyway, had Gretna fluked a goal in the second half, it was always going to get chalked off for some creative infringement by the stand-side linesman who never put a foot wrong...........heard that Marrzo (aka "that bawbag c*nt" - copyright Eddie Hunter) is still at Raydale trying to free himself from that skin tight jersey it took him them an extra 10 minutes at half time to squeeze him into!

Number ten took a bit of banter from the sidelines, wow, that's just normal, he was out of order when QP scored

Aye celebrate, even have a wee fist pump in the direction of the hame fans but byf he milked it big time, way over

The top.

Can't remember such a one- sided affair as the first but fair play to Gretna for a better match in the second. Fantastic individual goal by Miller. Astonishing amount of attacks ending with poor crosses. Expected Gus to change things around and be more direct through the middle. Didn't happen. In the hat but we're still blowing hot and cold.

Brilliant reaction from the fans after the goal. Sorry to read about the offensive reaction from one of the players. Not needed. Equally not needed to send the QP fan out the ground. A young lad with obvious mental health challenges, he behaves like that everywhere without any problems. Surprised actually as excellent hospitality and welcome otherwise.

MOTM: second-half stand side linesman. The game would have been abandoned if he hadn't stepped up. :thumsup2

The game's always about embracing a diversity of opinions - mine is that by bringing Quinn on for McPherson and replacing Burns (a wide player) with Fraser (a supporting central player), Gus did exactly that, and no coincidence that by those two keeping both central defenders more occupied than McPherson's lonely ploughed furrow had been doing, that then left Miller much more time and space to fire home the winner from a central position ................discuss

I take it that it was Freddy. Could someone not have been able to intervene and explain? It's a shame particularly as our usual drunks ran onto the pitch and nothing happened to them.
