Jimmy85
In the event of a Yes vote, and if as expected our Capital city shites it, should Edinburgh be forced to relinquish its status?

Enigma
It's weird as Edinburgh probably has the most to gain from independence, probably the most to loose too.

ForzaDundee
Edinburgh should be kept as the "capital" but always thought we should have a modern approach to where ministerial departments are situated. Don't know if it would work logistically but hows about something like: Glasgow - Culture, Media & Sport Edinburgh - Business & Cabinet Office Dundee - Health Aberdeen - Energy Perth - Transport & Environment Inverness - Food & Rural Affairs

BerwickMad
What is your problem with Scotland having a referendum on gaining sovereignty?I don't have a problem with that. I hate nationalism though and what it breeds. Shit like what the OP has just displayed. I don't like how nationalism emphasises difference and looks to divide people. I despise nasty politics like that.
MONKMAN
In the even of Dundee returning the highest percentage of a yes vote, the city should be renamed Dundece in its honour, and be made honorary capital.

Granny Danger
The capital should be Paisley and home of the Parliament. Only the most committed and dedicated person would then be prepared to become an MP.
Loondave1
My house is Edinburgh. Im a NO but if its YES my house may escalate in value in the new fully Independent capital.Win win for me perhaps.Pleasing.
LongTimeLurker
Make Lerwick the capital though, no longer could journalists whine about distant Edinburgh rule. Next step after that would be to get people to pronounce it the traditional Shetland way, Ler-ick, so that it rhymes with Berwick.
