The Albert played host to Johnstone Burgh in perfect conditions at Tileworks Park.

The Albert were still without 7 players through injury or holidays.

The first half was the worst the Albert had played all season, with Johnstone Burgh totally dominating the game.

The Burgh should have been two up within the first 20mins of the first half, but poor finishing kept the Albert in the game the Albert only chance fell Stevie Clarke who headed wide from 6yds.

Just after that the Burgh deservedly took the lead when the Albert defence backed of allowing the Burgh left back to shoot from 20yds by the Albert keeper. The Burgh continued to dominate the first half.

The second half started with the managers voice ringing in their ears after a half time rollicking.

They made a couple of changes and it seemed to work as the Albert put pressure on the Burgh defence, they should have equalised when saff was put through on goal but instead of squaring it for an open goal he shot wildly over the bar.

The Albert continued to press but never really put pressure on the Burgh defence. The Albert again scorned another golden oppertunity when a cross into the box was headed wide when it looked easier to score. The Burgh should have put the game to bed when their striker beat the defender but somehow didn't score.

The Albert had another chance when after good work down the right the ball was cut back to the edge of the box were Stevie Clark could have and should have done better. The Albert continued to press bad mixture of good defending and bad finishing kept the score blank.

Then with final kick of the ball they got their best chance of the game when from a cross onto the box the ball fell to Fraser Stobie 4yds out who somehow managed to miss when it looked easier to score.

Another home defeat for the Albert and they only have themselves to blame they could have and should have taken a point from the game.

But to be fair to the Burgh they had chances to kill of the game in the first half.
