whatastramash
Couple of observations from yesterday's match. First, it was a decent game for a no score draw. Peebles probably had the better of the first half, Duns the 2nd. Some woeful finishing from both sides, but build up play was decent. Secondly, a word of praise for Duns. New Hawthorn Park was looking great, and testament to what a little ambition and forward thinking can achieve. I suspect both sides will be up there, come the business end of the season. whatastramash
What was the score today?Peebles won 2-0, but it is no exaggeration to say that Duns dominated the game from start to finish. It's all about getting the ball in the net though, and sadly that's where The Dingers came up short. surely not!
I heard it was 90% possession for Duns. Great news to hear that the opta folk are now providing statistical info for the eos first division. Anyone know why percentage of tackles were won by each team......? surely not!
Was going by Duns website. By all accounts duns had more possession, but on a teams website the likelihood is that 90% of the reporting will be in relation to that team- this doesn't equate to 90% possession in the game. Duns Fan
A really don't know what the stats were but a know one thing it was all duns from start to finish but yet like tynecastle a few weeks ago we done everything right bar score. Had we took the chances in the first half the game would have been out of sight but likewise if you don't score you don't win games simple as that. Credit to the Peebles keeper and the back four they were pretty solid at the back and all had a good game. Still along way to go. Am just hoping games like this and other games like HRA and burntisland a while back don't come back to bite us on the arse come the end of the season.
