Duns v Peebles Rovers

Recommended Posts

Couple of observations from yesterday's match.

First, it was a decent game for a no score draw. Peebles probably had the better of the first half, Duns the 2nd.

Some woeful finishing from both sides, but build up play was decent.

Secondly, a word of praise for Duns. New Hawthorn Park was looking great, and testament to what a little ambition and forward thinking can achieve.

I suspect both sides will be up there, come the business end of the season.

A really don't know what the stats were but a know one thing it was all duns from start to finish but yet like tynecastle a few weeks ago we done everything right bar score. Had we took the chances in the first half the game would have been out of sight but likewise if you don't score you don't win games simple as that.

Credit to the Peebles keeper and the back four they were pretty solid at the back and all had a good game. Still along way to go. Am just hoping games like this and other games like HRA and burntisland a while back don't come back to bite us on the arse come the end of the season.
