UEFA Euro 2016 - Qualifying Campaign

Thought I would create a thread for general discussion on the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

I noticed the pundits on Sky, when discussing Group D, are in agreement that Scotland, Ireland, Poland and Georgia will be fighting it out for 2/3rd place. However, after watching 15 minutes of the Ireland vs. Georgia game, it is clear that Georgia will be nowhere near top three. Playing a defensive back 5 at home against the Irish and punting long balls up to a hopeless No. 9.

Hopefully this thread hasn't been created already.

Only based on half an hours viewing of course but both of these teams are beatable. Ireland are OK but quite shaky at the back so far, Georgia don't look too impressive and are set up really quite defensively for them playing at home.

Georgia look very beatable

That ex Geordie is more negative than levein!

It's difficult to fathom why a manager looking to nick 3rd place would set his side up like that.

Surely you play to win at home against Ireland, Poland & Scotland at the very least... Scraping 0-0s at home is as good as useless.

Gibraltar are gash. I genuinely think most of our Championship teams would beat them.

In saying that, any 0-7 win away from home is to be applauded. I feel Poland are underrated and are favourites for 2nd. Aye so we beat them in a friendly; so what? I think Poland can take a point off Germany at home. The atmosphere at their home games will be mental.

In saying that we should be looking to take 6 points off them. They'll rightly be saying the same about us, but we have to have the confidence to believe we are capable. Same with Ireland as well

Poland are dangerous purely due to Lewandowski, he'll pose more problems than the German attack did tonight

Muller alone is a much more dangerous player than Lewandowski. When you add in the fact he was playing with Gotze, Reus, Kroos and Schurrle then I find that a pretty odd statement.
