Plug1874
For anzone who is over in Germany just now, there is cheap train travel ticket called 'schoenes-wochenend-ticket' which is available from DB Kiosks for €45.00 which gives a group of 5 people max unlimited train travel IRE, RE, RB and S-Bahn trains for the day. This would be ideal for anyone travelling in a group from Cologne, Dusseldorf, Monchengladbach etc. to and from the game in Dortmund tomorrow. It is not well publicised, though. Lofarl
Make sure you do not hop on ICE trains as they are not valid. Which I found out to my dismay after I hopped on the train to Munich from Nurmberg.
latapythelegend
The only train where I ever been asked for my ticket is the ICE. There are no ticket barriers and no ticket inspectors on the trains.
