What a joke, date changed due to international call ups, only Sevco. So they need a full complement of about 40 to choose from to take on the might of East Fife(no disrespect). Embarrassing, very embarrassing.

Not only is the postponement of this match embarrassing, but it has now be switched from a free Saturday to midweek in between two very important Championship games. The benefit of having a full squad is merely a consolation to now having to play 3 games in one week. What if Rangers drop points in the league because of this? Would having a full strength squad for a Challenge Cup game really have been worth it? Does McCoist believe the Rangers reserves can't get a win against East Fife? Is it really a must win game anyway?

Baffling decision from Rangers. As thepundit says, Rangers are possibly putting Championship points in jeopardy just to eke out a % point or two more chance of victory in a game they're almost guaranteed to win.

McCoist, you're a fucking idiot.

How many players do Rangers have away on international duty?

Zaliukas, Mohsni, Peralta, possibly Aird, Sheils and MacLeod.

Worth cancelling a match against East Fife for? I'd say no. (with respect)

I could still list a possible line-up and a full bench no problem.

Seriously though, why such a long delay? I can't believe there isn't another free date before then.

TV scheduling + "2 days rest". Again.

Rangers v Hibs on Monday = write-off following midweek.

Similar thing happened last month, Rangers on TV Sunday then Friday = write-off intervening midweek.

However... obviously they decided not to play it on (say) Fri 26 Sep and postpone East Fife's league game, as they did to Clyde for Rangers R2 tie, tbf. That would also have allowed it on TV.

Sat 20 Sep - Alloa v Rangers

It almost doesn't need repeating at this point. Everyone knows he's utterly useless.

Having watched rangers play badly as they did last night against Hibs I have no fear playing rangers now. With us being the underdogs I still won't fear Moshni (likely to get booked anyway), Black and co. Still making the trip home feels like a cup final already no had one of them since the Robbo days where we were in the cup at Kilmarnock #bringItOn #MonTheFife

Having Moshni away on international duty is a definite reason for Rangers to want to play that weekend. Seriously - an international class player???

However, you can see Rangers' point. They are pish and to play the game with a team that is even moderately weakened is a bit of a gamble. McCoist hardly needs any more bad results.
