mighty meadow
As I listen to most of my music via laptop, tablet, phone, mp3 player I'm looking to buy something to make it sound better. Any suggestions? I don't know if I should be looking for a docking station or if there are other options out there. They don't particularly need to be portable as they will be used solely in the house. Size and weight are also irrelevant. I just want a loud, clean sound but not looking to blow the roof off the house. Price is pretty unimportant also. I would rather not spend a fortune but would like to get it right first time even if it does mean splashing out a bit. Any recommendations or advice on my options? Thanks. Gaz
The biggest effect on how 'clean' your music will sound is not your speakers but the bitrate of the files you are playing.
saint dave
I got this in hmv for £28. Decent sound whilst listening to Google music. Does the job for me , quite loud too. http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/aves-diamond-bluetooth-stereo-speaker?istCompanyId=bf3344d9-83f5-4abd-b69a-da131f7567d1&istItemId=wxiwaqita&istBid=tztq&gclid=CPzKhuHev8ACFQLJtAodilkAvQ

Yeah, I know about the bitrate affecting the quality of sound but how about playing an actual cd through my laptop. If I could get that sounding pretty decent then the compressed files will take care of themselves. I'm going to take a run up to Glasgow I think and see if I can listen before I buy somewhere.
