Ollie Ormiston Posted August 27, 2014 Share Posted August 27, 2014 Ollie Ormiston's link with Ormiston FC has ended so as the sun sets over Recreation Park Ollie rides off into the sunset in search of new pies and mugs of bovril. (There is nothing sinister in this just personal circumstances so don't start any speculative end of the world and Ormiston with it threads) Thanks to all the 'posters' over the last few years for some great laughs, interesting conversations and lively discussions and whoever your team is I wish them every success. I'm sure you'll miss my pearls of wisdom ! Good luck to Brian and the lads for this season, I will be following from afar, and hopefully this season will be the start of the Ormiston FC resurgence in EOS and beyond. The only thing that was "legendary" about his farewell was the enormous fuss the pond life element made about it. At the time his life circumstances were changing so it looked like no more time & a farewell post is not that uncommon a matter on other (dare I say less infantile) forums in order to let others know why you're no longer posting. Unfortunately with this place being orientated towards more bad dramas than the True Movies channel... well, you know how it goes. The main lesson for it was when HJ returned he knew which people to never bother replying to any of their replies to his own posts. One of the true gents of this board as well as an invaluable fund of knowledge. Ollie Ormiston however I'll admit I'm struggling to remember.
