Alloa vs Hibs

Recommended Posts

The first of the 'big boys' come to town this sat currently sitting below us in the league :) . Hibs bounced back against Dumbarton last night whilst we caved late on against high flying Hamilton.

Should be a good game and I do think we can get something from the game especially with spence on fire.

Has hibs played on pitch before?

Ffs our pitch? Lol

Our training centre has synthetic pitches and as mentioned we looked alright at Hamiltons ground so I wouldn't imagine it'll have any sort of bearing on the game.

You have played on a few decent plastic pitches which will stand you in no stead for playing on the car park like surface at recreation park. Worst plastic pitch that I have seen in Scotland by a mile and I saw our old one a few times.

Just came for a nosey and to warn the hibs fans not to expect much football, ball hardly on the deck or stays in the pitch. Sorry if I have offended any Alloa fans but just an opinion.

Broony88 supports Queens? :unsure::unsure:

Unlikely that Alloa fans who have spent the last three years watching the team playing excellent passing football on the pitch will be offended by your opinion :) .

Should be a good crowd at the Recs at the weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing us take on Hibs. My Grandad was a big Hibee and growing up in Edinburgh I have a good few Hibs supporting friends as well. Remember the 1989 Scottish Cup game and also seeing us lose 4-0 at Easter Road about 10 years ago. I see that we have actually only beaten Hibs once and that was in 1923. If we can avoid giving away any gifts at the back on Saturday then we should be capable of giving them a good game at least.

Looking forward to this, never been to Alloa before. Hopefully we get 3 points firstly, and a good performance to go with it.

I wouldn't get too excited.

Anyway, huge game as the battle for 7th place takes shape.
