East Fife v Shire

Recommended Posts

I'll go through to this game.

East Fife is a tough place to go and our key defender Michael Bolo is suspended.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this game but I at least want the lads to go through there and make a fight of it and quit this bad habit of shipping goals for a change.

On the other hand, if it becomes more like a New Bayview Open Day with Beat the Goalkeeper as the main attraction then I'll be pulling my hair out, and I don't even have any!!

However, I'm confident that we could nick a win if we play well.

Ease up Shire...

We absolutely MUST win this one. No doubt about it. I'd imagine we'll have too much for East Stirling but you never know with EF. Expecting a decent crowd with us holding the fans meeting with the trust regarding fan ownership after the game. I'll go 2-1 EF with the following team...

Fleming

Mullen Campbell Moyes Smith

Walker Barr

Brown

McAleer Cook

McShane

Bolo will be a miss but we have good enough cover with Conor Greene. Our problem against Berwick was taking too much time on the ball when out wide instead of getting it into the box.

Fairly confident we can get something out of this, but I can only really see a draw. Don't see us getting many points on the road this season.

1-1

Nah, I would say that the reason we lost 5-0 against Berwick was that we have a defence that have shipped 21 goals in 5 games. With the exception of the Jim McInally play-off seasons, this issue has been fairly common over the last 10-12 years.

2 games and 2 penalties conceded plus looking shakey against Falkirk......I would rather play Jordon Tapping who strolled through most of last season.

I was chatting to an Albion fan during the week who informs me that EF were rotten on Saturday so fingers crossed we can play like we did against Elgin.

I would prefer tappy aswell, and im sure most shire fans would. But the chances of him playing are slim. Has he even been on the bench this season yet?

Strangely not Matty. No doubt Greene will play, and in truth I don't have an issue with that, however I would rather see Tapping play because he's proven to be a steady player where as Greene hasn't, but will no doubt get other chances throughout the season.

Tapping was on the bench up at montrose as I was chatting to him second half behind the goals. Surely he must play on sat as better than Greene imo but when I asked him why he wasnt playing he said he didn't know. Doesn't seem manager likes him imo.

and I can see nothing but a heavy loss for us this weekend again as long as we keep playing Brisbane in midfield.

Must win game today, anything other than 3 points would be another disappointed. Wasn't at Albion game last week but heard we were absolutely garbage so we will certainly have to play better to win. Should be a decent crowd and hopefully we get a good turnout at important meeting afterwards. Mon the Fife.

Certainly wasn't the prettiest performance ever but a wins a win. A half decent team would've ripped us a new one today. Thought Allan Walker and Caolan McAleer played well, as did Kevin Smith. Slight bit of fortune with the second goal but we'll take it. Hopefully the three points will give the boys some confidence to kick on and get some more points on the board!!

Oh, East Stirling are absolutely woeful btw. I'll be seriously surprised if they're not in the bottom two.

Conceding goals and not scoring goals = disaster. Tuls has a lot of hard work in front of him and he may have to rip up his pre-season plans.
