Romeo
My brother told me today that his xbox 360 power adapter had given up the ghost. He also told me that Microsoft don't sell after market replacements, I though he was taking shite, but it seems that this is actually the case. He is a bit dubious about buying a 3rd party one. Anybody any experience/information regarding this? I have of course told him to buy a PS3 like any other normal person.

Romeo
Passed that link on to my brother. He had a live chat thing with some drone from microsoft and they will indeed take his power brick and try to repair it or replace it with "like for like", did say it could be an already repaired power brick. Think he's a bit dubious about buy a 3rd part one in case it torches his house, find it hard to believe you can't actually buy one from Microsoft. No wonder Bill gates is minted. No wonder Bill gates is minted. Some of the ones advertised on Amazon are also "genuine Microsoft" and are brand new. He needs to relax a bit * * If he buys one of these and his house does, unfortunately, burn down then I am not in any way responsible

EdgarusQPFC
I've heard horror stories about the 3rd party ones melting or shorting the consoles they are attached to. Probably cheaper to buy a broken 360 and only keep the power supply
