Really he played in the EPL with Burnley playing for the ugly sisters is nearer here or there Any way WGS is always shouting about having height in the midfield its why Mulgrew plays there sometimes McDonald is a big guy he is 6 feet 1 bigger than guys like Bryson even Dorrans and a few others Suppose he needs a few more games though bang in form and he might have a shout in one of the holding roles especially if Bridcutt is out Sunderland team Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I know said it would be a fight for him to be selected but he is different to a lot of them he is technical but has height as well Look at our midfield out with Adam and Mulgrew they are all wee guys the Bannans ect I see a place for two big guys in the holding roles especially against the better teams Give Brown the chance to play forward and try and burst into the box or even Morrison Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its all about making our squad better and see if these guys can do a shift for us as the sitters If you look at past line ups over the last dozen games its not a partnership nailed down Especially without the obvious choice in Darren Fletcher not calling it his own Mulgrew in there for me is more of a filler like Caldwell once done before Mulgrew is our best left back proved it against Croatia setting up a goal from the left Granted young Robertson is coming through good attacked not the finished article yet defending but that will come he is 20 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
