Anyone know how the results will be shown on tele and at what time? There's a chance I may be working on the referendum even doing the counting so will be home very late/early morning.

Will it just be a live set done on the Beeb, quick screen flash of the overall YES/NO percentages or will it be done council by council with number of votes?

Anyone know?

What will you do after the results are shown?

NO: Straight to bed and try to forget about it.

YES: Celebratory drinks right through to the Tuesday, as little sleep as possible. What a weekend that would be. We would have Clyde away that weekend too so would go away to that.

I'd assume it will be done council by council as with the Scottish Parliament referendum.

I would imagine that they will count either by council or by Holyrood region and make individual declarations or disclosures of some sort there before having a final announcement once all is counted. Not sure what time it will be, but the outlets won't be confident making a prediction, unless it's comfortable, until the small hours. We could be talking 3-4am before it starts to become especially clear.

They're being counted by council, I know that for certain.

I'm usually out on a Thursday night anyway so I guess I'll get home pished just about the time the results are in full swing.

If it's a Yes I'll congratulate the guys on here and get on with my life. If it's a No I'll piss myself laughing at the guys on here and then get on with my life.

This.

A Yes vote means a party of some magnitude.

A No vote... will even no-voters outside the main Unionist parties really be that happy?

All I can say is if I do end up voting No and they're ahead enough in the polls to be healthy, but close enough that Yes think they have a chance (Say final polls showing 54 or 55% no), then I'm going to take great pleasure in getting the beers and popcorn in, signing in to PnB around 10pm, and sit and watch the Nats go in to meltdown.

Libby saying we might not know until 3/4am. Sounds stupid but will the results be revealed then or will they wait to the morning to do the announcements?

I'd imagine they'll be announced immediately. There's a school of thought that if you withhold information like this once it's known, it's more likely that foul play could be suspected.

Either way I'll get on with my life.

If it's a Yes vote than I'd want us to make sure that the move to independence was as smooth as possible - even if it meant a slight delay to the 18 month deadline.

If it's a No I still want there to be further devolution - not just from Westminster but also from Holyrood itself.

What I think does need to happen, irrespective of the result, is a healing of the divisions between the Yes and No camps.
