DA Baracus
The Inbetweeners is ace. The new film looks ace. I didn't get in to The Inbetweeners until quite late (after series 1 but before series 2 had aired). I mind folk saying 'Friend!' to me and I had no idea what they were on about and thought they were knobs. I can't even remember how or why I first saw it, but I remember loving it. The episode in the first series where they bunk off school and Will calls Neil's dad a 'Bumder' had me laughing the type of almost painful laughter where you end up on the ground doubled up gasping for breath. Even now, after seeing it loads of times and knowing whats coming I still laugh loudly. The Inbetweeners is/was so popular because it was, for the most part, realistic and relatable. The least realistic part, and the bit that still annoys me, is when Will is incredulous there is a P.E. exam and advises Neil to run and later we see Neil seemingly having a 'running' exam. Thing was, and is with the Inbetweeners, it was never over exposed or milked dry. There were 3 series and 6 episodes (I think) per series. That makes every single one of them instantly memorable. That's why I reckon the second movie will be excellent. If we'd had a 4th, 5th, 6th series follow the movie, then I'd be very 'meh' about it all now, I'd imagine. mrcat1990
The trailer doesn't leave me hopeful for the new one, however I was very sceptical about the first movie and really enjoyed it. I imagine it'll be more of the same, but hey if it works it works.

I thought the Inbetweeners was, and probably still is, one of the best things on TV, it was one of those shows were I wanted more episodes, but I am glad they called it when they did, otherwise it would no doubt have become stale and lose its edge. Suppose that's one of the good things about British TV, we generally know when to call it quits, had this been an American show, we'd no doubt end up with the Inbetweeners Go To College or some shit like that. DA Baracus
There was an American version. It was upsettingly bad. Think it got cancelled after one series. The humour didn't translate to the totally different American setting. The casting was awful too.

Ira Gaines
There was an American version. It was upsettingly bad. Think it got cancelled after one series. The humour didn't translate to the totally different American setting. The casting was awful too. Once they decided to not try and copy the UK one and changed the characters a fair bit, it actually became a not bad sitcom, if a bit samey. I think they knew early doors it wasn't working, and by the time they changed things, the damage was done.
Guest
This could be good. Anyone who's been "backpacking" will know that although you meet great folk you also meet a huge amount of absolute wankers, if they can get an accurate portrayal of what some of them are like then those characters meeting them writes itself. That said, the advert looks a bit shit. Perhaps they're avoiding putting the good in the advert. I also don't agree with those who said it never got old, I liked the film but some episodes of the third series were painful (especially the way Jay jumped the shark). Uncle Psychosis
The first film was surprisingly decent. Not overly impressed with that trailer though.
Kyle
The first film was surprisingly decent. Not overly impressed with that trailer though. Agree with this. The trailer looks half arsed, but I'm hoping they've done that on purpose. The tv show is superb though. The third series wasn't quite up to the same standard, but still the best thing on tv at that time.
djchapsticks
I remember the US equivalent of jay was a ginger midget with a questionable amount of chromosomes Everyone in it was dreadfully cast, from Will (who looked too all-American Abercrombie and Fitch model to ever pass as an utter geek) to Jay who as you mentioned, looked like he had a bit of genetic defect, to Will's mum who instead of being a genuine MILF bit of totty, was all tits and teeth. Toe-curling stuff.
Ulises de la Cruz
The American one was utterly dreadful. "Renob"
YassinMoutaouakil
Absolutely loved the series but the first film was a bit of a letdown. Still looking forward to this though.

Kyle
For the best I think. The glory of the Inbetweeners is that it's not been done to death. 18 tv episodes and 2 movies is plenty IMO.

RandomGuy.
I always expected a film about them going to Vegas, to be honest, but it would be shite I hope Fresh Meat comes back of this really is the end of Inbetweeners, I couldn't cope without one of them
