We are assailed by garbage daily in the Sun, Record and elsewhere. Thought it would help if we could all have a go at the so called pundits.

In the field of journalism half truths, to downright lies prevail. Today I boaked at Craig Swan's diatribe in the Record.

Swan claims that Ally McCoist has emerged at last from Rangers troubles of recent years as a real manager. He quotes that "through turmoil and chaos at Rangers he has assumed EVERY role from Accountant to Ambassaador,Councillor, to Crisis Manager"

Now then it took the same Ally three years in his accountant roll, to realise he was on a grossly exagerated salary for the job on hand. His wage was twice what Lennon was on competing in Europe. He was also recruiting and paying five figure salaries to win a league that Linlithgow Bo'ness or Auchinleck would probably find easier than their existing tasks. So much for his achievements as an Accountant.

To be a councellor /ambassador, is that not a basic remit for any manager?

Crisis Manager? How well did he cope with Whyte and Green as crisis upon crisis emerged. He defended the 'duped' Sir David Murray neither ambassadorial or correct council

Then McCoist condemns the suggestions made that youth should have been given a chance through the 4th & 3rd tiers. His summary of talent at Murray Park must be a sickener to the youngsters there and their parents. He said "People talk about me not playing enough youngsters. The bottom line is the youngsters have not been good enough or they would have been doing it" Words of consolation no doubt to the kids and their folks.

Time McCoist found out how good a manager he is elsewhere, but then he may find out like Lennon few would be after him.
