HibeeJibee
Draw has been made for the British Trophy. http://www.bucs.org.uk/bucscore/Knockout.aspx?id=849&sport=Football Edinburgh received the lucky bye in the northerly section, while Heriot-Watt face a formidable trip to Liverpool. Oddly the First Round is in November but the remainder played after the end of the league. Edinburgh host Napier/Manchester in R2, Watt would travel to Abertay/Sheffield. Taking Bodies
It appears the teams who progressed the furthest in last years Trophy got byes - Leeds won last year, whilst Edinburgh were knocked out by them in the Semis.
HibeeJibee
Ah, fair enough. They've listed them in their geographical places which made it look like they'd just received random byes to bring it down to 16,
HibeeJibee
Draw has been made for the historic Queen's Park Shield. Yet another tweak in format sees entry cut to 14 teams and only 2 teams seeded into R2 (being the LL pair of Stirling & Edinburgh). No Queen Margaret or West of Scotland [Paisley] Unis but 2 colleges are in - Edinburgh [Telford] and Glasgow Kelvin. http://www.scottishstudentsport.com/assets/football/qps_fixtures.pdf First Round (1) Edinburgh College v Aberdeen (2) Napier v Heriot-Watt (3) Dundee v Glasgow Caledonian (4) Robert Gordon's v St Andrews (5) Glasgow v Abertay (6) Strathclyde v Glasgow Kelvin College Second Round (A) 1 v 2 (B) 3 v Stirling © Edinburgh v 4 (D) 5 v 6 Semi-Finals A v B C v D Final Wednesday 1st April at Ainslie Park
HibeeJibee
Bump. Stirling got their defence of British Premier North underway on Wednesday and it was the perfect start, 3-0 home win v Durham. Meanwhile the Scottish 1A is already 3 matchdays in... Edinburgh Uni top the table after dispatching Napier 2-0 and recording a thumping 4-1 derby win at Heriot-Watt. However, the 'Watt are already in a relegation crisis, bottom with 0pts from 3 after crashing 3-2 at home v Abertay and 1-0 at Napier.
Mr Hardy
http://bucsfixturesandresults.webs.com/ This website is being organised by a Stirling University supporter, Usually updated late on the Thursday I think results are sometimes slow to appear on the BUCS site. But this site includes all the fixtures/results and tables relating to the Stirling teams. Also includes the two teams in the Womens sections. HibeeJibee
Heriot-Watt 1-2 Napier Disastrous result for Watt, who (on 1pt) are now 7pts adrift of Edinburgh, Abertay + Napier (all 8pts) with only 3 to play... Verge of relegation.

HibeeJibee
Stirling still have 2 league games but for Heriot-Watt it's cup footie between now and the Christmas break. Perhaps they can find some succour after the league disaster. They travel to Liverpool in the British Trophy R1 on Wednesday, before hosting Napier in the Scottish Shield R1 the following Monday. http://bucs.org.uk/bucscore/Knockout.aspx?id=849&sport=Football http://www.scottishstudentsport.com/assets/football/qps_fixtures.pdf

HibeeJibee
also in Trophy R1... ... Liverpool 1-1 Heriot-Watt... ... 1-2 aet !! In all seriousness, though, very good result for Watt that. Makes their calamitous relegation from Scottish 1A all the more puzzling... they're doing well in EOS1, won at Gala in the South Challenge Cup, now this. Inconsistent. Anyone got the score from the Stirling v Loughborough top-of-the-table clash in British Premier North?
Mr Hardy
Stirling 2-2 Loughborough Stirling led 2-0 but two late goals conceded, unfortunately wasn't able to go today so I don't have better details. Stirling 2s 0-2 Newcastle Trophy competition.
