Diamond Oracle
Glad that all this World Cup pish is over and we're back to competitive domestic football! What better way to start the season than a derby against the Rovers. I would like to think we'd have another player or two signed up before Saturday, hopefully Tapping and another centre half. How are the Rovers shaping up this season following the appointment of Young?
roy of the rovers
Rovers have been finding their feet and getting used to Mr Young and his way of doing things. As always it's difficult to judge from pre-season friendlies but things seem ok. Would have fancied us more if it was at Cliftonhill buy we shall see. gy diamond
Hopefully a good win to get our season up and running, been a couple of years since we had a decent run in any of the cups. 3-1 to the Diamonds. ML5 is a dive!!!

RAPID BENANO
Faith in the old diamonds the squad are a couple of players short and think we'll edge it over the manky mob 3-0 Diamonds Jimmy lister hat-trick
++Ammo - Airdrie++
Fever pitch as ever for this one!! I'll be enjoying some lager at the commonwealth games while this is playing out. 2-1 Airdrie and John Gemmell to fall about a bit.
Aloysius Snuffleupagus
ML5 is a dive!!! ... and ML6 is full of dicks! Hard to predict this one as I know little of 50% of our squad and nowt of the new management team. I know even less about Airdrie but will admit to being impressed by how they got themselves out of bother in the latter part of last season. This has to be a winnable tie though given Airdrie seem to be a confirmed part-time outfit nowadays, and Mr Young could do himself all sorts of good with a win at Easter Coatdyke in his very first game. 1-1 with a winner determined by penalties, methinks. Pesadilla
I've got a bad feeling about this one.
Diamond Oracle
Shamelessly stolen from Raith Against the Machine... This is how I imagine we will line up against Rovers today: Wouldn't expect Blockley to play that far forward but that was the closest formation I could find. Feeling scarily confident about this game now. Team is shaping up quite well.

Albino Rover
Is Scott Chaplain too busy organising diddy sports to play today or is he out through the manager's choice?
Bold Rover
No Chaplain in our squad - I've clearly missed something.

Bold Rover
I've been to that place three times and haven't seen a Rovers goal. Nine against us in those games.

airdriefan100
Airdrie really should be 2 or 3-1 up.
airdriefan100
Airdrie really need to wake up! Getting tackled every time, poor passes-crosses, you would think Airdrie are the league 2 team in this game
airdriefan100
Airdrie have been dyer, cant win anything in the air, the players clearly thought the game was won after 5 minutes.
