First competitive game of the season for both and for Arbroath the first competitive game under Moore!reckon we'll stand a chance if our big 3, linn, nicol and shagger perform. Don't know how Alloa are shaping up to be honest

I am heading down to this with a friend who supports Alloa. Hope it's a bit better than the last time I was dragged along to see the wasps, a freezing cold midweek draw at Raith last season.

Any idea of admission prices?

I feel your pain from the Raith game, it was torture.

We are still short at the back but look good in other areas. If we perform the way we did against Forfar then I don't see why we can't take something. Hopefully we get that Andrew Black in and have Little/Travis/Johnstone making up the back 4, looking forward to it! ????

And think you'll be £10 this season seeing as we are back in the 3rd mate.

Don't know how you have come to that conclusion... It was £12 when we were in the 3rd division the last time. Looking forward to this game as it will be my first match since April.

Really hoping black signs up, little and travis would do at centre half because I just can't see us getting anyone better than what we already have. 3-2 Arbroath, linn, McManus and Murray scoring.

Line-up:

Crawford

Black travis little Johnstone

Linn nicol Whatley McBride

Murray mcmanus

I'm sure black can still play as a trialists anyway so would expect him to play

From what I've seen in pre season I think the team is likely to be

Crawford

Travis Little Fisher Johnston

Linn Nicol Whatley Mcbride

Mcmanus Murray

and I would add that Mcbride has to get his finger out and improve on his last two performances

I'm confident that we can score.....I'm also very confident we will concede 3 or 4. Our defence is a mess and Alloa should have enough about them to see us off.

Watch out for Simon Murray though!

Looking forward to this one- always a great day out in Arbroath, tons of pubs to visit in the town making your way from the train station down to Tutties Neuk. Hope the weather holds up for the weekend- not holding my breath though.

Dont think Alloa have had a comfortable win up there for at least 10 years- expecting a hard game again on Saturday. Not sure what happened to Arbroath last season but Moore is a decent appointment, and you'll be looking to bounce back up right away.

Don't expect anything from this game, from what I remember Alloa's defence is very solid and the likes of Cawley should tear our defence apart. As long as we put up a decent fight then I'm happy.

Defence has been the same for a few years now so it's a strong relationship between them. Defence is pretty solid also from playing a lot of defensive minded football last season.
