Mr Bairn
Just got my hands on this one http://www.bettertogether.net/blog/entry/juncker-ends-salmonds-european-dream Now I'm not sure to what extent BT are talking complete bollocks and why that might be the case so I thought I would leave it here for you guys to disect
H_B
Well, that will be Sir David Edward removed from the Nat's "Favourite Experts" panel
boabinoban
Is this really a story from the No camp? hooda thunk it? No decision has been made on anything. The guy isn't even in office yet FFS. Headline and story from the Sun. Quality stuff BT.
AUFC90
They're miles in front but feel the need to trumpet a sun story.
yoda
Is that genuinely the BetterTogether website? OMFG if it is, that's horrendous. Poorly written and full of snide remarks, it reads like a political blog rather than the official website of a proper political organisation. NB: I guess this means the EU are going to halt negotiations with Serbia. Shame the outgoing President said (not even two weeks ago) that they would try and get Serbia full membership as soon as possible.
HaikuHibee
"We would be fast-tracked." The UK is fast-tracked oot. BT = Sun, sounds right though.

ayrmad
You'd think there was only so much fail one side could produce.
Casual Bystander
When anybody needs to use the front page of The Sun to support their argument, you know they've already lost it.
H_B
Maybe H_B should think about that before immediately creaming his pants at every non-announcement. What exactly have I said about this annoucnement Burma? Be very specific.
renton
Fact is though, parts of the media have gone ahead and printed it as Juncker saying scotland is basically screwed. Are they going to be printing another prominent headline tomorrow saying that in actual fact they were wrong and Juncker had said his comments do not apply to Scotland? Doubt it. Did everyone who read the sun today, read James Cook's tweet on the subject? Doubt that too.

Hopefully the brainwashing will be proven to be fruitless come the 18th.

H_B
Or perhaps you'd prefer the Scotsman. http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/row-as-juncker-bars-any-new-eu-members-for-5-years-1-3477066 Note - this is the link to the previous day's story, not the correction - blame Google, not me. H_B
It is also clarified in the times, who provide the correction from Juncker's spokesperson. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/uk/scotland/referendum/article4148826.ece
H_B
Of course, alternatively you could bask in this persecution complex, refuse to look at the evidence, and just wallow in this self-indulgent and counter-factual paranoid belief that the media is out to get the Yes campaign at every turn. I'll bask in the belief that all those journalists should have found out the truth before they ran with the story.
