Have Dunfermline made much in the way of additions to their squad?

Hopefully its a similar team to the one that played Cowden.

I'm sure they've added Michael Moffat from Ayr which is a decent addition but lost Danny Grainger..

Anyway, I cannot wait til Christian F*cking Nade wrecks the townies.

3-1 to the mighty Raith with Nade, Elliot and Moon to get the goals with Moffat getting their goal.

The Pars appear to have gone on a bit of a spree sweeping up players from their league one chums with the likes of Moffat and Buchanan among others. For ourselves, we've yet to see a full strength team feature with a lot of players suffering niggly injuries. It's hard to tell how we'll play as a result. We've still to see Cuthbert, Watson, Hill, Barr and Scott get any game time due to these, but hopefully they'll be fit in time.

I'm still not too sure about the state of the Pars team at the moment, but I think we should have the quality to shine through.

Christian Nade to get slagged for being fat before the game, before ragdolling the Townie defence left, right and centre while picking up a double. 8)

I'm still not overly bothered about this tournament, nor the game itself particularly, but it will be a good early barometer to see where we are in terms of Championship standard. We were comfortably beaten last season so would be nice to see if we pose more of a threat than we did then.

We've made good signings who certainly ensure we will have a very strong squad for League One. Moffat, Andy Stirling and Gregor Buchanan were all named in the League One team of the year, while we've brought Scully back between the sticks and re-signed Jonathan Page at the back. So we have different options to when we played Cowden in the play-offs, especially as Ryan Wallace is back in training.

Hoping for a keenly contested game and a good crowd. If we win then great, but I won't lose any sleep if we don't.

Win-win for both teams really should get a bigger crowd than any other fixture in this round we could of got, win the game a bit of bragging rights, lose the game and I doubt either side will lose sleep over this cup which is a distraction until about the Semi-finals. Pars have picked up a couple of decent league one players in Moffat and Buchanan but we shoudl have enough to see them off on paper although anything can happen in a Derby. 2-0 Rovers Moon and Elliot with Hill managing to somehow get sent off while on the bench. Not bothered about this one but at least it should have a bit more of an edge than most of the ties we could of pulled out the hat.

Interesting to note the three suspensions for this match carried over from last seasons competition:

Alex Whittle (DAFC)

Callum Elliot (RRFC)

Grant Anderson (RRFC)

If the rumours about Raiths top 3 centre backs being out also is true, it could turn out to be a very intriguing game. Really looking forward to it, hoping for a good crowd to start off the season too.

Early chance for Drummond to try and grab the left back slot.

If only Pars hadn't bottled the play-offs! Then we could have had some real games at EEP. As it is we've got to make do with a diddy cup game.

The battle to retain our King of the Diddies title begins.

It's not really mind games, looks like we'll only have half a squad. If you don't win this, it should be looked at as a disgrace by every pars fan.

That's mind games! I'm serious when I say that I will be very pleasantly surprised if we win the one. We're seriously ropey at the back and have goal machines Nade and Elliot up front. That's why I predict a fairly comfortable Pars win. I don't think you squad looks really much worse, if at all worse, that ours. You'll be looking to win the league this season, we'll be in our usual hovering above the drop position.
