Yeah mate, basically doing a full pathway from early kickers to semi pro. Under 19's is heavy subscribed, they might have to do two 19's teams, couldn't believe the turn out! However defo more under 17's players required. Private message me and can give details.

Good luck, good to have a bit more competition about locally. It's a massive job rolling out a full pathway , financially, logistically, etc and trying to keep a high quality of player also. No doubt we will here how things go in the future.

Yeah not easy at all is my own personal impression, its a self sustaining model with a number of people coming together to form the committee and make it possible. Some independent teams have joined with their teams to fill gap years, lucky to have the people/coaches involved that we do. Will take a season or two to fine tune I imagine but already could pick out some good prospects so looking forward to seeing them play in the Hurlford strips once the season kicks off.

Darren Henderson was there today as well and was impressed with what he saw, will be taking some of the teams for a training session or two at different points so really positive all round. Wouldn't say it was competition more trying to offer something different or another option to local youngsters rejected or not considered by pro youth for example, more people playing football the better imo. Hurlford was once considered the nursery of football, I'd hope we can at least make it the nursery of Hurlford United.

Great outlook, end I'd the day it's about developing players and allowing them to express themselves. Yeah will take a bit of time and commitment but will be worth it. Only need to look at Bonnyton to see what hard work and determination gets you. Good luck with everything

People talk about money with hurlford but when they read this and find out what is going on behind the scenes they must see that they are going about it the right way. From the bottom up, they may pay good wages just now but in 5-10 years time there team will be men that they had in there ranks from teenagers and worked up to get there chance?

Think Bonnyton is a fine example to aspire to, first team players such as Brown, Tiny and more learned their trade up the way and some continue to coach there. The 'Ford helped them out with fundraising during this season and no doubt will continue to. Dare say Killie and Ayr get the pick of the bunch in many ways but its about helping younger folk to achieve what they want to achieve and think geographically there is more than enough room for both Bonnyton and Hurlford.

Aye Bluebear, the P&B Hurlford Tales about silly wages haven't helped, there is others that can far out do us, have done and will continue to do so. Such is football... but positive our model will retain the club for years to come and the kids can get a lot out of being involved.

Just a quick note to say we've had to cancel tomorrow's trials at Girvan. Alternative arrangements are being made and any interested players should contact Lynne Peacock on glenlea@hotmail.co.uk or phone 07974922619 for more info. Sorry for the late notice.
