He goes into today's squad, all the best Hughesy. ..................................................................................................................................................................... macintosh
Fife & Lothians Cup 2nd Round Kirkcaldy YM 0 - 2 Kelty Hearts East Superleague leaders Kelty Hearts continued where they left off last week, taking control of this Fife & Lothians cup tie early doors. Player/Manager Tam Courts sat out, with new signing from Ballingry Rovers Chris Hughes making the squad. Stevie Manson started his first match of the season on the left side of midfield with Gary Leighton switching to central defence alongside Sean O`Neil, Conrad Courts started at left back. The match itself was played at a decent enough pace with Kelty Captain Shaun Greig pulling the strings in the central midfield area supported ably by Nelly McCabe with Stevie Manson linking up well with Conrad Courts on the left flank and Brian Ritchie who had to go off with an unspecified injury at half time working the right side with Roger Duffin. Kelty took an early lead 12 mins in through that man Stuart Cargill who`s close range shot found the back of the net 1-0 Kelty. Hearts continued to stroke the ball about well, the movement off the ball was impressive at times, Sean Grady & Stevie Manson in particular making intelligent runs to draw defenders out of position as they created further chances in a half where Cargs had another goal chalked off. HT 0-1 Kelty Mark Morrison came on for Brian Ritchie as Kelty kept a tight grip on proceedings in a game that never looked like getting out of hand. Stuart Cargill adding to his seasons tally when he put away his own rebounded effort from the upright around 60 mins in, 2-0 Kelty. Craig O`Reilly (back from honeymoon) & experienced striker Murray McDowell came on for Cargill & Grady as Hearts looked to give some game time to those who had`nt featured in recent weeks.Hearts created numerous chances thereafter just failing to capitalise on some good build up play and hitting the woodwork twice in the process. All in all a good professional performance from the lads today in a game where we were literally on a hiding to nothing. Youthful North Division outfit Kirkcaldy YM can be satisfied with their afternoons work however as they kept `The Hearts` honest throughout with a spirited display. kefc
Sound reporting as always macintosh. Looking forward to our trip to Camelon next week. Forecast is rain all week including Saturday, I don't know if Camelon have sorted their drainage issues. If they haven't the game will be in real doubt, maybe a good idea to look into switching the game if it's not looking good. Imo it's no good having 2 teams idle on a Saturday especially in November. james.
How many goals has Stuart Cargill scored Dean... Must be leading the scoring charts as the man is on fire and gets at least a goal a game or maybe even an average of 2 per game....great for the team to have someone banging in goals

kefc
See Gary Greenhill on transfer list on your website what happened there ?. No 100% sure but possibly Gary is frustrated at the lack of game time due to the good form of the lads in the team at the moment. Great football player on his day. DuklaWandy
What's been the difference this season? Have Kelty made a lot of signings? Saw them in the play-off at Dalkeith and thought they were decent, but can't have been great to end up there in the first place. What's made them so much better?
