I thought that was the same chap seen him play before he got sentenced and was a good player. I know the old saying is everyone deserves a 2nd chance but i wouldnt like my club to be assosciated with a player that has committed this sort of crime. Just my opinion

I think that is the opinion of most, why should he get to resume his near normal life 5 years down the line when there is a victim who will live with the psychological burden her entire life and may never be able to resume her previous hobbies?

It will undoubtedly cause unrest in the squad as well, would older members with daughters etc. be comfortable socialising and bonding with a convicted rapist? I certainly wouldn't.

Signing this boy doesn't seem worth the bad publicity for Irvine Vics, they have already improved their squad sufficiently and I am sure there are alternatives.

I've thought about it n I back the decision to sign Reynolds. Silky n Stevie have never done anything for me or anyone for that matter to doubt them so I'm not going too.

One of the most impressive things about last season was how tight knit the squad was last season so i don't think if this signing was going to jeopardise that then they wouldn't have done it.

What a prat! Back your manager to sign a convicted rapist? I'm sure the local fans and youngsters will be delighted with the signing

Both entitled to our own opinions, not for a second condoning what he done just having a bit of faith in the managers who haven't given me reason not too have some faith in them.

Are you a complete half wit . He got done for attempted rape , horrific yes , got four years but he is not what you just said he was![/quote

I'm a half wit? I'm sorry but as said before I wouldn't want any club I was associated with signing someone with that record, surely even someone as dim as yourself can see wht the consequences of doing that could be! Eg would sponsors all be happy putting money into a club to pay his wages? What message does that send out if your a community club for instance.. This list goes on

Of course i know the seriousness of the crime for god sake you cretin. I am pointing out he got rightly done for attempted rape not actual rape. Both shocking but pointing out your wording was wrong.

Attempted rape/rape just as bad as each other for christ sake he still tried. Its up to the vics if they want there club associated with a beast like this. We dont need guys like this in our game. Would like to hear what some of the vics fans think of this signing now he has been exposed

Largs Thistle have signed defender Nicky Jamieson from Greenock Morton. Nicky, who turned eighteen on Sunday, was impressive for Theesel pre-season. Welcome Nicky!

Can we not just link people to the threads about Adam Strachan and Craig Thomson cos I am pretty sure most could just copy and paste posts and opinions from there. Otherwise this thread will very quickly stop being about transfers and instead have the next 5 pages about the debate of should or shouldn't be allowed to play football etc etc etc...
