Dunning1874
A similar thread came up in misc football and I went for the following. Going Vogts era onwards (just because it's all I properly remember), here are the players who've had ten caps or more. Goalkeepers Rab Douglas Craig Gordon David Marshall Allan McGregor Defenders Graham Alexander Russell Anderson Phil Bardsley Christophe Berra Gary Caldwell Steven Caldwell Stephen Crainey Callum Davidson Grant Hanley Alan Hutton Russell Martin Stephen McManus Jackie McNamara Charlie Mulgrew Gary Naysmith Steven Pressley Maurice Ross Andy Webster David Weir Steven Whittaker Lee Wilkie Midfielders Charlie Adam Barry Bannan Scott Brown Colin Cameron Kris Commons Don Cowie Christian Dailly Paul Devlin Graham Dorrans Barry Ferguson Darren Fletcher Paul Hartley Gary Holt Paul Lambert Shaun Maloney James McArthur Neil McCann Ross McCormack Lee McCulloch James McFadden James Morrison Stephen Pearson Nigel Quashie Gavin Rae Barry Robson Scott Severin Robert Snodgrass Gary Teale Forwards Kris Boyd Stevie Crawford Paul Dickov Steven Fletcher Kevin Kyle Kenny Miller Steven Naismith Garry O'Connor Jordan Rhodes Steven Thompson Worst XI out of that lot: Rab Douglas Maurice Ross - Steven Caldwell - Christophe Berra - Stephen Crainey Gary Teale - Scott Severin - Nigel Quashie - Paul Devlin Kevin Kyle - Stevie Crawford Struggled to decide between Berra and Wilkie who are both miles out of their depth, went for Berra as he's had more caps. Don't think Crainey, Teale or Severin are/were particularly bad players, just the worst out of that lot and were never regular starters. Based on their careers overall O'Connor has clearly had it worse than Crawford, but based on what they did while playing for Scotland I've gone for Crawford. People questioned the selection of Quashie IIRC.
ShawfieldAggro
Straight swap for Richard Hughes from that team would suffice.

Dryhorce
Frank Haffey lost nine goals to England has to be in goals Peter Grant got one cap never to be scene again a hatchet man in midfield
Savage Henry
Is it really fair to pick one cap wonders? I'd put guys like Steven Caldwell and Scott Gemmill, who were in a pile of squads in my team rather than Gary Kenneth or Ian Black, who were (are) both woeful but only turned up once. wattie_rojas
I always thought dailly was shite. I remember gough writing an article about him saying he had all the attributes to be a good ch but he wasn't one. He just used to lump it up the park all the time too. Gordopolis
Feel sorry for Paul Devlin. While I'm not suggesting he was an excellent player for us, I do remember that he always used to work his ar*e off every time I saw him play.

Dryhorce
If Grant was so good against England in 89,why did it take a decade later to get another cap?

Dryhorce
Phillips does not look like he can cut it,even though he has the pace for international level, been a headless chicken when he has played
Gordopolis
Phillips does not look like he can cut it,even though he has the pace for international level, been a headless chicken when he has played I don't remember anything of his caps (2) tbh. Levein was quite effusive in his praise of him, but that means f all. Mind you, he's an EPL player now, so he's probably worth keeping an eye on. Offered nothing when ever he has been involved, cant get a game for QPR in the championship.Doubt he will play in the big league again, will prob be laoned out to the championship, hope that I am wrong though.Just do not rate him fast but no end product, and zero tricks or skill like GMS who also has the same degree of pace and power
