MikeyWellFan
With the Championship set to be a very interesting league this coming season, does everybody think Rangers will win it easily or will it be close? Should they fail to win it would you expect them to win a play-off? Thoughts please.
Buddie Holly
no chance they'll be anywhere near it with their points deduction.

The Rangers to pip us by a single goal for fourth spot, as a result of a dodgy refereeing decision in the last minute of a game at Greyskull. Not too bad if they can manage that after a 25 point deduction for Administration again. Please God, let that last bit be true.....
afca32
Unless their financial troubles worsen, yes I think they will. Although I cannot emphasise enough how much I'd love to see them fail.
ThirdrockfromtheSon
Every team will be desperate to beat them in this league. They have insufficient income to afford to run Greyskull, never mind lash out £millions on overpriced duds. Falkirk's boys will annihilate them, Hearts will be stronger and will do the same due to increased confidence. Butcher has already butchered his duds and Hibs will improve and will run them ragged. It will without doubt be a very uncomfortable year for The Rangers RIP. I reserve the right to amend this prediction should Administration become The L word. MikeyWellFan
As long as they finish below Hibs, the lolfest continues. It'll be an interesting battle between Scottish football's two biggest laughing stocks.

Financial problems aside, I think if they were to sack Ally and bring in a competent manager they'd walk it.

The compensation would be a contractual noose around the clumpany's neck. A competent manager might have to cut costs, and we all know the outcome that would lead to. The_Kincardine
Honest opinion? I am so pessimistic about our current situation that if we get to the end of May 2015 without either the A or the L word being applied I will be relieved. Promotion would be a bonus. WhiteRoseKillie
There are a few factors which could influence this, detailed by all the posters above. I personally think their first administration could be less of a handicap than keeping McCoist - he really is that much of a buffoon, and an expensive one at that. I suppose the off the field problems overshadow the football. Do you feel the squad you have is good enough to walk the league?

Even with a points deduction, if there was a competent manger in charge I feel they'd still manage a play-off spot. They will go nowhere with Ally in charge. Fair play to you for those comments. It really will be a good, competitive league this year. Two of the big clubs might not get to the Premiership, and at least one part time team is guaranteed to remain in the Championship for another year. That's great news for the smaller clubs. The Edinburgh clubs are my tip to go up. Your team's plight has been highlighted once or twice in the BRALT and I sincerely think you will struggle a bit this year, as you'll need to compete with, rather than obliterate, the opposition. It would be frankly embarrassing for McCoist to actually take a pay off. He's bled enough money out of them.
The_Kincardine
Do you feel the squad you have is good enough to walk the league? Mikey, I'd revert to No8 and Tedi on this. They watch Rangers home and away each week and have a much better handle than me. I'm not avoiding the question but these two are better informed than me.
