CowdenConvert
Whatever we play we need a naturally left midfielder/ or wing back.Agreed. Not bothered about another striker. We need to try the ones we have (except Jurisic who already looks shite) before bringing another one in.Anyone know why Johnstone wasn't stripped yesterday? Presumably injured. Aberdeen Cowden
Whatever we play we need a naturally left midfielder/ or wing back. Seemed cruel on Miller sticking him out left, that's the poorest I've seen him play.

Bit harsh on Jurisic, don't think he got a pass. At least give the guy a start and see what he can do.
PELE
Why do we buy players and sit them on the bench!! Start with them and have a go.
Cowden til i die
We have to win one of the next two - I know it's early but I feel it's vital. Two draws wouldn't be a disaster I guess. It already looks like the part time teams are going to get detached this season.
CowdenConvert
Alloa at home is a game we have to be winning if we have ambitions of 8th. Raith look to have a decent squad again this season but our record v Raith in the last two seasons is excellent so no reason we shouldn't be looking to win that at home as well but would be an acceptable draw. Blueminer
Even if sticking with this seasons formation I thought brownlie should have been in at right back before chris kane yesterday. We weren't far away from getting something yesterday without being great. We may even have been 352 for a short spell when we lost the 2nd goal before changing again with 2 quick subs. Don't want to be too critical of JN. After all he came in and did the business along with the players last season. He's obviously got a system in mind that he wants the team to play. I think you should always find room in that system for 1 of your best players though and I don't think anyone can disagree that Brownlie shone for us last season when he played. Just disappointed that we've signed him and failed to use him up to this point anyway.

Cowden Cowboy
A few observations We haven't bought players and not played them - no transfer fees have been paid. Jurisic we will need to wait and see how he does but that doesn't mean we just throw him into the starting line up. Yesterday wasn't great even though we could have pinched a draw and Lewis didn't have one of his better games but he has been effective playing off the main striker scoring in the last 3 games plus scoring in pre-season. As for 352 well presumably without McKeown, Hemmings and Stewart, Jimmy feels that 4411 works better with the players we have. Loan deal position is as reported in the Courier. Sutherland looked useful yesterday when he came on as sub. Craig Johnston picked up a hamstring injury on Thursday at training.

You aren't going to get an idea what a player is like if he only gets a few minutes at the end of a game. Someone must have seen something or they wouldn't have been signed. I remember when Markus played up at Elgin as a trialist and was outstanding, next game he was poor and when he started the third game he was getting stick from some of our support. We all know what happened after that, best player I've seen playing for Cowden. These guys have to get a chance.

It's good that there's debate and interest in all things Cowden even if there are differing opinions. Obviously people closer to the club know better about what's going on behind the scenes regarding fitness of players, loans etc.
CowdenLoyal
The signing of Campbell is still baffling. Was never going to be any better than Kenny and isn't the best of cover either for when Kenny is out.
big al
Campbell had some decent play when he came on. Set up robbo to hit the bar with good cross and involved in goal aswell. Different type of left back.

cowdenbeath
Sad to learn that ex-Cowden player/manager Sammy Conn passed away earlier today Aye its sad to see think he was only 52. Decent guy Sammy got to know him well when he as a player and manager with us. Remember sitting with him in the bar in a hotel in Dingwall when we were on a pre-season tour and he told me some great stories about his career. Top bloke. Different type of left back. Think JN brought Campbell on because he was going for broke with Sutherland, Jurissic and Higgins up front and needed crosses into the box. Campbell can deliver a decent ball. I thought Kane played well too.
