One of my favourite cities.

Would recommend;

Topography of Terror,

Brandenburg Gate,

Reichstag,

Fernsehturm,

The Wall,

Teirgarten & Café am Neuen See in the park,

Sony Centre,

Alexanderplatz and the World Clock,

KaDeWe if you like shopping,

Olympic Stadium,

Spree River cruise.

Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, but try Currywurst from a street vendor, just for the experience.

Currywurst is one of nature's greatest creations.

Where are you planning to stay in Berlin? I stayed in the Freidrichshain area in the former East Berlin. It's pretty cool. This area has the East Side Gallery, a section of the Berlin Wall, that is now covered in murals, including the iconic image of Honecker and Brehznev kissing...

For a night out, I'd recommend the area around Boxhagener Platz, there are dozens of pubs all within staggering distance of each other.

All very good shouts. The DDR museum also isn't too bad. Also, if you're considering the Reichstag, book in advance.

I love Berlin, best city I've ever visited.

In that case, if you fancy an al fresco beer on a warm afternoon, head down to Hackescher Markt. It's a railway station with several pubs and cafes in the arches underneath a railway bridge. There's plenty of table and chairs outside and when I visited there were buskers and street performers nearby.

There's also a pretty cool pub in the Mitte area called White Trash Fast Food.

I went over there a few years back during October, where I stayed in the Hotel Adadgio just a block off the Ku'damm (One of the main shopping streets of the old West Berlin.) Found it pretty easy to get round on the subway, as Berlin is probably one of the biggest cities I've been in.Done most of the sights but I would like to go back there one day.

One of the highlights however was the Venus festival venus-berlin.com/en which was an eye opener, but it was a great day out. I'd recommend it to any lads out there :thumsup2

To anyone going to Berlin and planning to stay in a hostel; I would recommend Wombats City Hostel. It's pretty central with a 7th floor beer garden from which you can see the tower and the Reichstag. I've had many a drunken night up there slevering shite with people from all across the world.

I'd also recommend a quick visit to the Hauftbahnhoff which is only 5 minutes from the Reichstag and one of the coolest buildings out there.

Edit - the white trash place mentioned above is just across the road from Wombats and is, indeed, a pretty cool place.
