Apart from the over spending, boring football played over the last 2/3 years McCoist has a lot to answer for. His ridiculous salary ontop of his ability to coach/manage is a major concern. Being honest, I like McCoist however he is found out at this level something terrible Best example is David Templeton. A fantastic talent ruined by the Rangers coaching staff. Not able to develop his game because all he gets down his throat is WIN WIN WIN. He has shown that he just uses the lowest common denominator to rile up the troglodytes of his supporters, and has shown even at the lowest depth of Scottish football has shown that he is not a football coach. He's done absolutely nothing in his entire career until he hit a purple patch with Hearts, he was quickly figured out, but fortunately for him The Rangers were utterly desperate to get him and he got a huge wage rise I think McCoist is a terrible manager. Both behind the scenes and on the touchline. His interviews come across as someone utterly desperate to come across smarter than what they are, and he generally makes himself look foolish by constantly moaning about wanting new players despite having the second highest budget in the Country already. He'll struggle next season unless he signs another four or five Premiership players, as his tactic seems to simply be "we'll win if we have better players". He never seems to employ any discernible tactics, and really what should've been two years of horsing everything in sight with a young, vibrant, side seems to have turned into two years of brutal football with overpaid, under-performing, players.
