Decided to try something different, so will be simming past the first season and then taking over St Johnstone. Its not far off finishing the season and I've no idea where they are as I've not stopped the sim for the whole season. Christ knows what sort of squad I'll have!

Made some fairly decent signings, and been given a huge boost as Gary Miller, Folly and Wotherspoon have all announced they want to stay. Brought in McGovern (Falkirk), and Toshney, Chalmers, Herron and McGeouch (all Celtic)

Got a fair few long term injuries but so far I'm shaping up like...

McGovern

Miller - Toshney - Kitchen - Chalmers

Folly - McDonald

Wotherspoon - McGeouch - Easton

Kane

A new centre half and striker and I'll be happy. I'll have May aswell as he's injured until after the window shuts

Are Toshney, Chalmers, Herron and McGeouch on loan?

The three sales to Rangers were already agreed by the time I came in

Squad now looks like...

Been a rough season and I was almost sacked in October. We've found a system now and the signing of Stephen Dobbie on a free has turned the season around, we're sitting 4th and 8 points behind leaders Dundee. The Rangers sit 7th and just sacked Ally McCoist  And then hired Pat Fenlon :lol:

Another wee update. We're plugging away and still in the title race, but lack of depth in quality shows sometimes. All I'll add is that Stephen Dobbie should be a must buy for any Championship side who can afford him. He's set up 11 goals in 15 games and also scored 6, he doesn't seem to miss one-on-ones

  • 2 weeks later...

Keep forgetting to update this, so I'll hopefully remember and put screenies in this post after work

I finished 3rd in my first season, and lost to Dunfermline in the Play-Offs, who then lost to Rangers, who then lost to Hearts. So I had to contend with The Rangers yet again.

In my second season we finished 4th, were £500k in debt at one point, lost in the play-offs to Falkirk, and lost in the Scottish Cup Final (which was played two days after, and then before, the two legs against Falkirk)

Coming into the third season and I've had to get rid of all my big earners, anyone over £900 a week is being sold off as I was losing ridiculous amounts of money. We've taken our debt back into the £200k marker but it'll drop further as I'm running out of players to sell. Really need a youngster to earn me a huge fee or to win promotion, but getting promoted is getting increasingly hard with the lack of funds available. Next season I'll probably be lining up...

Scott Bain (starts from Alloa)

Ryan Finnie (Clyde) - Paul Huntington - Gary Caldwell - Joe Chalmers

Steven Hewitt (Free Agent)

Liam Caddis - Scott Brown

Migue Garcia (Free Agent)---------------Dylan Easton

Chris Kane

How the hell did you manage to sign Gary Caldwell on less than £900 a week? He popped up as a free agent in my Aberdeen save and I looked into signing him short-term as injury cover, but he wanted crazy amounts of money. Signed some random from Ligue 2 on a free instead, then sold him for 850k a year later.

I've no idea  It just popped up he was available and he accepted £800 a week

I've won the bloody league :bag Was sort of hoping to spend a season or two more in the Championship seeing as how I'm entirely reliant on my youth system just now as we're in debt and I'm pretty much unable to sign anyone. Fortunately I have enough of a squad that I might be competitive, but the starting 11 I posted earlier will be the one I use in the Premiership now, and I'm utterly shitting myself about it

Just some screenies of the Championship winning season..

Don't know why I was so bothered about this Premiership lark....

I've managed to extinguish our debt over the Summer. Raised about £700k from selling youngsters and its brought me close to being back in the black, in fact we're due to be over £1m up by the end of the season. So I've managed to actually sign people this Summer, although I'm still restricted in terms of wages

Really, really strong start to the season. Ten points is a solid lead over the bottom sides, and while I've no doubt we'll start dropping down the league I do feel we've got enough to stay semi-consistent. The defence has been solid and Scott Bain is an outstanding goalkeeper

My first ever Premiership season seen us comfortably safe. The lack of goals was hugely worrying though

I also made me second Scottish Cup Final. My last one seen me get pumped 4-1 by Celtic...

SCENES!

I thought I could relax when we made it 3-0, then they got two back. Barely moved a muscle for the last 20 minutes of the match (yep, there was five bloody minutes of added on time)

Just about to finish my third season in the Premiership. Finished 8th last season, and this season I will finish sixth. Too far behind 5th to catch up I think.

Made some signings for once, and the squad looks solid. Relying on a few loanees from my parent club in Turkey, especially a striker, so might need to splash out on a few players if I can't get them back.

Also I've made over £2m from players brought through my own system now. £1m is the highest fee I've gotten for one, but Ive just a 16 year old striker whos just scored the winner on his debut from 25 yards
